You should create several packages for clients. Some cheaper packages can make you go in the beginning. As people don't know you yet you have prove yourself. So begin small, grow big. :) Good luck!

It totally depends on the clientele you are looking for. The interesting thing is that the cheaper the service, the bigger pain in the ass the client will be. I can assure you of that. Sometimes quality (size) of client is far more important than the volume of clients, especially with any sort of online or offline marketing/advertising agency.

You could looking for a cheaper service in my opinion. However if this is very quality for you just go ahead.

I don't think a fixed price system would work. Like others said for $1,000 you can rank for a small competition keyword to medium but to compete for some high traffic keywords I have heard of companies forking out 6 figures and the contracts were for 6 months. There are way too many variables and expenses to try to do fixed pricing.

I agree 100%. What a pain in the arse the cheap bastards are.

Additionally, what usually happens is most SEO Agencies have 1-3 big clients they usually run with who gives them the bulk of their business.

The biggest thing you are going to struggle with is getting new clients. Sales is the backbone. Once you learn to get the sales process down, you can learn how to get rankings cheaper and cut costs = more profit.

Fuck i'm on here all day trying to find quality people to work with to do the grunt work so we don't have to do it in-house.

I even put a couch in my office so I can watch the "WF Live" tick!

------ Edited

Generally you mark up your prices 3 fold. So if I pay my in-house guy $20 an hour and it takes him 1 hour to do the task or job, We would charge the client $60. I wouldn't go with a set price system, I would customize the pricing for every client taking into consideration how much it would cost you, and how much time it will take.

Its def all about your target clients. Ex: Doctors, Lawyers you can get away with charging in the $5k-$8k range, more tech savvvy people... more along the lines of $2k. Regardless, you are def on the low end.

What terms did AsianSingles.com rank #1 for?

I did some checking and the only keyword of any value that is ranks #1 for is "Asian Singles" which is not that impressive since you were promoting the .com of the domain to the keyword.

The only other keywords you ranked good for involve Asian married women and those had a very low click volume.

Did I miss something here?

With that said, I would say the proof you published would make your SEO average. So $1k would probably be in the range you could expect to get.
