Immortal Technique isn't exactly rich. He's probably making a decent living now, but he's really not about the money.

True. I get that, like I said don't know about the dude. My point was if you have 100G's in you mouth and your 83 Cutlass is sitting on 20 grand in wheels I don't wanna hear you whine about shit. Like Evan said in the other thread most current hip-hop and rap is shit, with few exceptions.

Dead.

But back in the late 80's it was some powerful shit. Public Enemy, EPMD, KRS, Rakim etc. Then MTV came along and turned it into mindless drivel. There are a few exceptions - Wu-Tang, Tribe Called Quest, Nas etc through the 90's and not much after that. Now they just wanna drive rented cars, wear rented jewelry and put rented bitches in the same retarded ass video over and over again.

That sub-genre of hip hop still exists and is great. Just not in the mainstream anymore.

I'm not particularly a hip hop fan, but this kid warmed up the crowd in Europe before a James Brown concert I attended a few years ago, and he rocked it.

He's also from Ptown, so I was an immediate fan.
