damn i just got scammed today by a girl trying to sell me magazines claiming its for my college physiology class fundraiser. Total loss of one acai berry commission for blocking the check transaction.

well the best scam i can remember was:

I was walking down the street in New Orleans with my brother and dad. A homeless guy came up to me and said "boy i bet you i can tell you where you got them boots" I looked at him like he was crazy (he looked crazy) I knew he had no idea since the boots i had were vintage motorcycle boots i bought in a small mom and pop in West Virgina. So i thought screw it this is a good bet, I took out $20 and said go for it.

He said "boy you got them on yo feet!"

I paid up.

Got scammed out of a 2-story house in UO once.

Of course I scammed someone else out of a castle, so I guess in the long run I came out ahead.

have you ever researched this operation? it's huge and crazy, the teens are almost all from fucked up family situations and all think they're gonna make big $$.

They get taken in and then are shuffled around the country, staying in shit places and never get cash their 'managers' promise them.

These guys that come to your door have also been responsible for more than a few rapes and murders including the handicapped and elderly that they find at home alone.

I had been scammed by one old man who claimed had loss his wallet and want to borrow my money for bus ticket. I'm giving my money because I'm afraid he doing harsh action to me...He leave after get my money and next month i saw him doing the same thing to other person who waiting for a bus at the same place. :angryfire:

Funny...My mother had the same thing happen in New Orleans years back...perhaps it was the same guy.
Funny.

It's more easier to cheat and get some money from other, since nowadays we quite lazy to fight about been cheated and get our money back..

But this type of person not easily to avoid, they always around us..waiting for opportunity to "rob" our money..

This thread will help me to avoid unnecessary donation. ;)

If you give me $2500, I'll make sure that nobody ever bothers you again.

UO is a video game I hope? I was thinking it was a state or country for a second.

I have been scammed out of a few bucks a few times through Paypal, but that is about it.

Yeah. Ultima Online. House scams were rampant.

After duping several hundred million in gold before the masses found out it was possible, I financed a year's worth of college by selling it on eBay.

Yes, my nephew was born with club feet and Shriners took care of everything. I was approached by a guy before attending class, who was seeking donations to Charities and I gladly "donated" $200, and was supposed to receive a "Thank you" letter from Shriners... never did. I got jewed, oh wait, I mean screwed.

Not really a scam story, but I often saw a homeless (most likely) couple in their early 20s in NYC this summer, with their dog, panhandling for money every so often to get a "bus ticket back to Seattle" according to their sign. The last time I saw them, the guy changed the sign to say "been in NYC long enough to buy a dog, but not a bus ticket back home".

You live in Vancouver? Same thing but I beated the guy up when I saw him again. :angryfire:
