Did anyone notice anything nuts about ysm traffic yesterday. I had a kw that normally dose 3-5k impressions daily over the last month or so that did 63k impressions yesterday. Today traffic is back at its normal with 5k impressions. I am on the first page and with a perfect QS so ysm reports 100% imp rate.

Ive checked for news articles, Google trends, etc. But it I haven't been able to find anything to explain a jump in traffic this large especially with things back to normal the next day.

Any ideas?

It is a bug in their system. A nasty one at that for QS too. They don't have a clue that it exists - even though I have complained in the past.

check they didn't turn the yahoo content network on for the campaign. they did that to me a few weeks ago and i got a massive jump. obviously no conversions and they got one hell of a bullet from me in my support email.

If you take a real hard look at Yahoo, I'd be surprised that it was an "accident". They do lots of shady stupid shit. Could be an intentional "glitch".

See the thing is that I already have content on, so its not that. And the traffic converted like crazy so it was not some reporting error or anything. These ppl came from somewhere and I want um back.

yea it happened to me yesterday. one of my kws went from 300 impressions to 13000, and but i didn't get any extra clicks or crazy converting visitors..
