Agreed with Shady - so it's a free forum now. The only folks that are likely to care also go to DP and the free ebook thread at WF . I don't know Uber at all, but if he came from here he's likely to be more help to noobs than many of the big names in this industry.

ya, we're the dolts

and real quick:

Rule #6 - No forum promotions whatsoever, this DOES NOT include signatures. I don't care if you own it, or your friend owns it. No advertisements for other forums are allowed without written permission from Jon. Any suspicious forum promotion will result in a 1 week temp ban or a warning.

Well to be fair to Uber, everyone and their helmet wearing cousin has started a thread about UberCamp on here. He's just explaining himself.

Ah, while everyone gets their uber hardon, I will also point out that wickedfire has a paid section ;)

I agree. If you rip on one, you need to rip them all...

I think what's even more hilarious is Eli sells SQUIRT for $100/mo... a snake oil tool that actually gets sites banned... and no one says a damn thing.

Yeah yeah I know it includes the vault and forum but its the same shit you can find anywhere else.

Here is the way I see these things... people buy into them to become the owner's buddy. Oh he's smart and makes lots of $$$ let pay a monthly fees to be his buddy and get close to him.

You're not fooling anyone Uber - no one wanted to pay you $5k because if they did, you woulda gladly accepted it. That was the whole point of the forum anyways right? So you could pay your mortgage.

Why do I need to fool anyone you idiot; I'm making the forum free.

or it was too much work for the money that you were getting from it.

That's the main motivation. People expected more time from me and I tried to give as much as I could but my own stuff required more attention. So instead of trying to come up with other "perks" to satisfy what people are paying, I'm just making it free. No pressure for me to spend hours a day there and no pressure for them to have to pay to get any of the content.

So you sold $200/mo subscriptions but then focused on your own stuff instead? Seems like it was doomed from the start as you had no intention of supporting it.

No, I actually spent more time on UberCamp especially in the beginning. I was active in almost every thread and tried to answer/help out as much as possible.

Valid point but WF had established itself as a good place for valuable information long before the paid section. GooberBlog was around for a few months and was almost useless before he started ripping off noobs and claiming he was a "super duper affiliate" b/c he got lucky with one campaign.

In general though, it is interesting how some people get away with selling worthless info / services without getting bashed and others like Goober get flamed non-stop.

Although Ubercamp may have been doomed since its conception, I have to say I agree with SlightlyShady here... Uber himself has acknowledged and admitted at least partial failure - and is not running off with the $$ like some fuckers would, never to be heard from again. He is taking (again, at least) partial responsibility for his failure and is trying to deal with it.

So the paid idea sucked, and maybe the forum sucked as well. I do feel bad for people who got ripped off. But I've seen worse scams in this business - and no one got picked on for it. Uber seems to be everyone's favorite to pick on. I say let the kid do his thing. If what he charges for lacks quality, he will sooner or later come to the realization that he will be forced to deliver some quality content - heck, maybe even offering refunds to those who feel ripped.

@i_like_cock; Yeah, I think few people are still getting into SQUIRT for the tool itself. Eli's forum and vault actually is awesome though, and IMO worth the $100/mo.

See, there's this thing called fraud. I don't know if uttering that would would be taking the discussion too far. However, you are under the age of 21, so perhaps it is prudent to risk sounding like your father. I'm good at that, btw.

Whatever. Fraud is something people usually believe someone else is doing. That's because they don't get just how simple it is to commit fraud. Did you know that fraud is as simple as accepting money for an order of a product or service, then not delivering as promised? Quite often, the onus is on you to step forward and offer refunds. Especially if you have gone on to decide to can the whole idea.

Look, you might feel like you provided what you said you would for the couple of months your forum ran in its paid form. However, what you believe isn't as important as what your customers believe. The customer may not always be right, but they damned well better come first. There's a whole alphabet soup of agencies who love to enroll people into their AEP* who pull stupid shit like not delivering on promises where money has changed hands.

You might not want to stop at ending this failed endeavor. You might want to refund back all the money you bilked out of people before you went on to use it to fund your other failing endeavors. It's obvious from your complete and total success at making yourself a joke in the industry (for the ridicule is not isolated to this forum) that you lack integrity in your business dealings. Any child who would take money from paying customers then fail to deliver as promised because their "own stuff required more attention" is a thief.

They pay you. You do the job. THEN you move on to your extra-curricular activities. For that is what anything else is until you have satisfied paying customers.

p.s. I somehow skipped over shady's post. I should point out that, although it is probably very obvious, my issue was with his lack of fulfillment for his customers when the forum was paid. Whether he opens it up for free or closes it down entirely is of no interest to me. I just think it's shitty that people like Eli and others offer up HUGE amounts of resources and tools, and charge a fair amount, then some dork comes along and charges double... for basically nothing.

I don't really give a shit about uber or whatever, but isn't "Uber Camp" exactly what Wicked Fire is 100% against? And now people are defending the guy? "He has admitted his mistakes, forgive him" No one who does close to 7 figures monthly would even consider creating a paid forum to give away "secrets", unless they are retarted.

just my 2 cents I guess

He already did this once before with the dumbass from click consultants, who is even worse than uber. like 100 times worse. And where did the word "uber" come from? Isn't that some sort of gay term? (seriously gay, not gay as in stupid but gay as in homosexual)

yeah if i was making 200k a month theres absolutely no fucking way i'd want to help other people do it (mainly cos i've helped friends in the past and theyve fucked me over), and im a nice guy!

Absolutely right.
