.me sounds like a better idea than .mobi but it's still no .com

The bottom line is if you have a site that you expect people to remember, talk about, tell their friends, or anything where they may speak, write, or type the name, and you don't have the .com, you will lose traffic to whoever does own the .com

The average web user has no comprehension of tlds and will often say/write/type ".com" out of habit
 
Who cares if its avail or not.. look how long its taken the mass consumers and general population to type in .com or .net! Hell, there are still tens of millions of people who can't even grasp that concept and thats why the typein traffic industry is still around!!

Yea, I've seen way too many people attempting to type in the full url and end up trying to go to:
