I just got Journey-Revelations. I almost didn't get it, but with 2 discs and the DVD it was hard to pass up.

I just love disc 2.......lots of great memories associated with that music!

So, what are some WF member Journey favorites? How old are you? I know there are some younger fans emerging, but I listened to this when I was in my late teens and am now approaching 50!

#6 on greatest hits, any way you want it! i remember listening to that when i was like 6 on my mom's cd. i've always liked them, but picked up the greatest hits cd recently when they re-released it. The whole CD is good, but favorites are... wheel in the sky and lights. i'm 21, btw.

I don't think they have their confidence level up where it should be with this new release. They're booked into the Oklahoma City ZOO Amphitheater (small venue, outdoors) in late July heat along with Cheap Trick and some other late seventies has been.

They would be much better off in one of the huge casinos here where sound is state of the art and air conditioning is cold and more seating.

I'm looking forward to seeing Arnel, though.

Never got to see them with Steve Perry, but saw and met them with the new singer. Great band that had their time before my time. They just don't make music like this anymore.

Steve Perry will always be the voice of Journey but I think Arnel will be the most popular of all the new singers. Comparing anyone to Perry is unfair but Arnel has one of best voices ever heard with the band, imo.

Plus, he comes across as very genuine and humble. CBS Morning News did a great piece on him with the band. His story is just incredible ... plus he was once homeless as a teenager so to see someone get an opportunity like this is simply awesome.

Sometimes I work with a client in Manila and I'm here at the moment. That guy, as you can imagine, is quite the local story. Unfortunately, the reason he was probably singing Journey in the first place is that they're madly in love with 80s music here. A couple of days ago the upscale mall a block away flew in, no shit, Air Supply. I missed it, but would've gone just for the cheese factor. Still, the Pinoys aren't kidding around - they actually love that music.

To Summarize: Filipino singing: good, Filipino food: rancid
