Facebook Social Ads

Hey thanks, but say if I use

abc.com/affiliate-offer/

when they review my page it will go directly to affiliate-offer.com , they actually allow this?

That's pretty cool..

You mentioned direct link, you mean I can straight away use my affiliate link? What if there are more than one person promoting the same offer?
Stick with redirects..

When the merchant sees your traffic source they're going to pull you off the offer & start running it themselves

Are they fucking each other? WTF is taking so long
I guess thats a hard question to answer they are always fucking each other

Normally that's advisable I think, but right now I'm running a dating ad on FB that's simply killing it, and there's no way the merchant can determine how I'm targeting the ad so I don't mind direct linking.

So if there are other affiliates running the same offer with the same targeting, wouldn't it only show one of the ads like Adwords?

I also direct link and haven't had a problem so far. I love facebook social ads so much. I need a bigger daily limit now!

Cool..Thanks

Here's another one, is there a way to view ads in different countries? I've tried making fake accounts but I'm still see the same ads, so they must be showing the ads based on IPs, any proxy services that I can use?

I take back all the bad things i said about facebook and their support team, its giving me about a 500% ROI at the moment. much love.

Just wondering. Is it too late to cash in on FB ads? I have seen posts from NickyCakes and Baldizzle and I know they say it's a good place for noobish fucks like me to get started.

Also, how many concurrent (yet similar) ads do you guy run while you're narrowing in on the best one? I have about 4 or 5 made up right now that are waiting for approval. We'll see.

Thanks guys,

Well it's harder than it use to be. A lot of good facebook offers got taken down / decreased payouts.

Dating ads use to be a big moneymaker but it's VERY difficult to get a good (booby) ad approved. I'm still banking because I have about 125+ booby ads that I have been running for like 2 months.

But there's still other niches out there. I think dating accounts for 60% of my profits, whereas 40% is make up of 4 non-vertical dating niches. They could make some $ if I didn't have the spending cap.

But I've tried teaching facebook ads to 5 people different people and only 1 of them is doing $100+ a day. But it's still possible to make money on FB.

Cool thanks. If you ever want to teach anyone else, let me know! hahahaha

I've actually found a pretty sexy ad that 'I JUST KNEW' would get disapproved but it went through just fine a few minutes ago. Both already have a couple thousand impressions. We'll see. :)

One other question. Do you raise your CPC on the 'booby type' ads? I'm using an offer that has a decent price per lead (just need to sign up for the free trial, no cc) and I'm getting impressions at around 20 cents per click. I'll have to look at the conversion (if any of them convert) but I was just wondering if it should be higher. I started at 15 cents and was getting nothing. Raised it to 20 cents and got a few thousand within minutes. I'm considering backing it down a penny at a time while still getting impressions. I assume this is the proper technique for paying the least for clicks. Please correct me if I'm wrong. (Or I guess I'll figure it out on my own this way too! hahaha).

If this goes well, I'll be kissing the arses of NickyCakes and Baldizzle all the way to the bank!

Thanks guys. You fuckin' rock!

Here's my thoughts when I'm bidding on Facebook. Every single offer I run initially I expect to lose money while I'm doing some split testing (just like adwords!). What I'm trying to get a feel for is what kind of EPC the offer gets, and how GOOD my CTR can be.

For instance if I sent 500 clicks to an offer and it does .15 EPC, then I think to myself whether or not I can get a good enough Ad, so my average CPC goes below .15 in order to profit. The two main factors are my previous experiences in the niche/demographic, and what kind of CTR I'm getting with the initial ads.

Once you decide the offer's good to go, your goal should be to continuously split test in order to find your best ad. Once you've tested graphics, headlines, etc. and come up with your best ad, expand it to different demographics.

At this point you should be profiting since having a split tested ad should yield a high CTR and low CPC. Pretty much what happens next is to test the bids until you have a good balance of volume / profit.

Something to watch out for when testing bids is to remember that there are major differences in the days of the week you're testing. It's probably better to watch things week over week.

So if there are other affiliates running the same offer with the same targeting, wouldn't it only show one of the ads like Adwords?

Yeah, I think so, but my ads are pretty laser targeted so I'm not too concerned about that. I suppose if you were targeting a broader demographic it might slow down your performance.
