Hi,

I have shed my lurker cloak and have come into the light with my very first post (this one)! I have been doing Facebook ads for a couple of days now and have gotten moderate conversions. The thing is, I am barely making any real profit because the bidding prices is so high for large volume of impressions. I want to be able to spend as lil as possible on ads cost and get the most from conversions.

My question is at what point can I lower my bidding price but still retain the same level of impressions?

Thx for reading, long live WickedFire.

I've been getting fucked on FB for a week now. For every $25 I spend, $4.50 comes back. Dating ad.

0.01 CTR for 126K impressions. Avg CPM is $.20, Avg CPC is $1.92.

I just need to spend some hours trying different copy, then when I have a few dozen ads going, i'll spend $200 and see what CTR's work, then write another 2 dozen ads based on similar copy.

It's beyond me how FB fucking does ads, I've had a $3 CPC for 12 hours now and not a single fucking impression. I think they block your ad, even if it's approved, if your CTR sucks. That's stupid as shit to me, you'd think they'd want to drive ad revenue versus push high CTR ads. More CPC for the high CTR's, but hell, that supply/demand curve is so anti-profit...

I'm sticking with dating site ads, email/zip submit, $.70 to $4.50 lead payouts.

I'm a complete noob, still learning, but I'm spending $2K to "find my niche" so to speak, so I'm putting the money behind these, just not finding quick success. (Next $2K goes to the poker table if this shit still doesn't catch.)

It's all about CTR. To get a good CTR, it's all about testing. One of my offers that's netting $400 a day has a .5% that took me over 100 different ads to get to that point.

Another one that makes even more for me only took me 5 ads to get to where it is.

Test countries, age (maybe male/female), images, headlines, in that order.

There's a LOT of other things that are more profitable on FB than dating and are easier to get into.

thx for all the help! I knew CTR was the somewhat involved in this mess.

I did do a lot of testing, but I guess I ought to do more.

I was thinking teh same thing, but I wanted to get some hands on first.

What industries are profitable on FB in your opinion?

I've been making about $250 for every $750 spent. Still waiting for Facebook to raise my limit. It's been over 48 hours!

As soon as someone says that, it becomes not profitable.
Most people are doing one of 2 things
1)Dating
2)Microniches
You already know dating, and by their very nature microniches run out really quickly.
Hows your dating ad been doing? Any trouble with CTR, or is your ad different enough to get a higher CTR and lower CPC?

As for microniches, would that include this Russian Bob Marley fan forum that I'm seeing ads for (and I don't read/speak Russian) - http://bobmarley.ws/ .:rasta:

Some of my dating ads took a dive due to fuckers reporting them and FB tightening up on images.
Right now I have 6-8 ads in other niches with above a .50 CTR though. Just working on cleaning up the conversions.

You mean flashlights? Odd niche for fb. fleshlights is an adult toy store which obviously is not allowed on fb.

Yeah same prob here, I'm testing one offer an email submit for a specific targeted girly artist's clothing line and it cost me $100 to make a few bucks, I know about making it big with high volume but this is ridiculous

But Dr Ngo raised my spirits and is right you gotta laser target like a SOB..
