... ftp/ssh and has a REAL browser...
Really there's only one choice. You know. FTP it's in the iPhone, SSH built in (it's unix, so of course) and "real browser" it's real and it's not trough a proxy.
Can you surf a semi "real browser" on the other devices? Of course.
Opera on my sprint blackberry rocks, but of course it's through a proxy that means that my password, and sites are going through someone's server before they get to me.
Any "real browser" on the windows mobile does the same.
I'm a big fan of the windows mobile because you can program your own stuff and so there's TONS of programs out there.
There is SSH for the blackberry but I haven't seen it on any other OS's (none on the WM, but don't be surprised if someone programs it, but none that I could find)
As for the Treo and Nokias??? Don't make me laugh with the treo's that are using the now 15 year old Palm operating system, and as for the ones running WM6, well they're just windows mobile so read above about that.
...and Nokia's stuff still looks like it's running on their old 33mhz dragonball processor.
once you see sites on a iphone, there's no other choice. The speed on the device might be slower, but load a site on the iphone and do the same on a faster network's phone and you'll notice that since the iphone processes the site as fast as your computer does while the other devices take FOREVER to show you the site, then it pretty much looks the same.
And forget it if you happen to be anywhere near a Wifi spot.
