In The Nevada GOP Caucus Ron Paul got Second after Romney.

It appears that He may have won the Louisiana GOP Caucus but it just closed and the press is not reporting it yet.

That is 44 delegates in LA maybe.

That puts him up in the top contenders with lots of support and just having had a 2 million donation day on MLK day.

Thompson just dropped out. Do you know anyone supporting him? If so make sure they consider RP. They have some overlap on gun rights and other issues.

If you are at the least bit interested in having Ron Paul in the race you should consider donating and voting for him in the primary. Tell your friends and family about him and drive with the them to the February 5th primaries.

Here are the dates and whether they are open or closed. If closed you need to have already been registered GOP. Please check with your state about any rules that may have changed.

Florida - January 29th - Primary - Closed (must be registered R)

Thats cool Tense. Most RP supporters like Kucinich as well. Usually their second choice because theose two are the only two saying that they really want out of all wars and vote like it.

Everyone else is just being vague to let you think what you want. Except McCain he said he is ok with a 100 year war. Is this what our country has become?

I can't handle republican rhetoric Drake...RP is diff tho (under the libertarian label I know). I'm independent but align my views most accurately if not identically to Kucinich. Tho NBC invited him to the Vegas debate last week, then suddenly "changed their requirements" and disinvited him. He sued NBC over it....the Nevada judged threatened to cancel the debate unless they let him back in. Unfortunately NBC has uber $$ and uber payoff power...so they got their way. I don't trust any of the other Dems either...so in the bigger picture, i believe we're fucked no matter what happens. I hate Hillary...this country's population is sooooo completely stupid. Fast food and reality shows...whatta fuckin culture we got goin on here. A president is a reflection of it's people....so I don't think we'll ever have someone intelligent in office.

It's funny when people say that Kusinich would be their second choice over Paul. Kusinich is an extremely intelligent person - but he's just wrong on so many levels.

Kusinich = Smart on Foreign affairs, Weak and Wrong on Domestic Issues
Paul = Brilliant on Foreign affairs, Brilliant on domestic issues.

Just because Kusinich is a smart guy doesn't mean that he should be your backup to Ron Paul though. Have you looked at Kusinich's stance on domestic issues? He's practically communist. He's the polar opposite of Paul when it comes to SO many domestic issues.

Saying that Ron Paul is your #1 and Kusinich is #2 is like saying that you really prefer smaller government and little to no federal regulation over our civil liberties. But the next best option is to expand the federal government to control every aspect of your lives.... Doesn't make sense.

I completely disagree. If foreign policy is your #1 priority and everything else is a distant second than it makes perfectly fine sense? On top of that, look at the other "characters" in the race... a lot of people hate all the candidates which leaves slim pickens for your #2 if you even HAVE a #1.
It doesn't make sense to YOU because you don't have the same priorities and among those priorities, you don't weight them the same.

Also remember, a lot of people make "character" a strong factor in who they vote for (me included)... do you want "another politician" or someone who is a true american spirit who simply wants to restore our country? Is it so wrong to strongly consider voting for someone because put simply, their ideas are different enough to help this country make the 180 we need? If you take a good hard look at what candidates are more "out of the box" thinkers... Ron Paul, Kucinich, Gravel are the only ones that come to mind. Mitt Romney would like to think he's a DC outsider but its the same blood running through his veins.

Kucinich and Ron Paul are similar in that they are different. And, I share the sentiment of wanting a "different" president.

I liked Biden but he is out.

I like Ron Paul and although some of his views are a bit radical, remember that he still needs the consent of congress to put ideas into action. It's the concepts that he brings to the table, of how to deal with people and of why America is in the position it is in... both politically and financially.

I don't think Obama is a bad choice either... although he falls more into the political playing field and I hate the mud flinging between him and Hillary.

I just hope Rudy, Huckabee, Hillary or McCain doesn't find their way into office...

First of all his name is spelled with a C, not an S. The fact that you believe his domestic stances are "wrong" is simply your opinion. If you are deeming him communist b/c he stands for a Not for profit healthcare system you are again wrong. He is actually very solid on his domestic stances with immigration, workers rights, energy transistions, healthcare and more. He's the only democrat besides Gravel who's willing to reinvestigate 9/11. The man was wearing body armor in Cleveland in the late 70s because the mob put a hit on him b/c he wouldn't sell the municipal electric company to another to make it a monopoly and rip off customers. I will vote for any man who puts his LIFE on the line for what he believes in. He is the only intelligent, honest person that's running in this sham of a race. Too bad this country isn't smart enough to realize these things. Kucinich might be the only man who could stop the NWO.

hahahaha. i'd like to know the age and background of the kucinich supporters. he's a complete leftie. i'm not even american anyway but it's funny. universal healthcare in a country of 300 million is impossible and will result in inefficiency and beuracracies.

Well usually running as a Democrat will put you in the lefty realm...what a revelation. Are you saying that Republicans aren't total Righties? Something else you may wanna take note of is that every other country in the Western world has some sort of Universal Health care established. Does that make them communists? Socialists? Ya know that some socialism is NOT a bad thing. You probably wouldn't understand since you're not use to paying for your healthcare. Yes it is VERY possible...the $$ is already there...it just needs reallocated out of the hands of the health profiteer scumbags and actually put to use in the medical field where it belongs. Private health insurance companies actually have special depts with employees who look for any minuscule reason to deny you. If that's the healthcare you want...please by all means keep paying your $300/mo. Kucinich may be out now...but he's the only one who supported a Not for profit system.

I agree Tensegrity, Kucinich seems like the best of the lot - but he never had a chance really. Maybe Edwards would run with him, but I doubt he'll get the nomination anyway.

Ron Paul would (mostly) be great - he would change the world (but not in the Bush way) - for example the knock-on effects of his drugs policies would improve the lives of poor farmers in Columbia and Afghanistan, reduce crime in London, cut spending and increase income for most governments worldwide. The let corporations do what they want stuff is a bit worrying... but it's all about compromise and the flip-side of that is (hopefully) not helping the corporations to do what they want. If I could vote, he'd get it. Will he get the nomination...? Doubt it.

McCain is scary ... another 9/11 ... Iran did it .... sheeple lap it up.

Clinton or Obahma ... fuck knows, maybe better the devil you know.

Fuckin' frustrating having to watch all this, knowing it will affect me (cos my government aren't going to get up off their knees anytime soon), but not having a say in the outcome.
