I withdrew $1,000 from my bank several weeks ago (baller status) to pay rent (peasant status). I checked my account the other day and noticed that the $1,000 is still in my account that I withdrew from. The bank has no internal record or something of me taking the $1,000 out.

How do I invest my big stacks of bank error cashish? :conehead:

When/If they ask for the money back, tell them you bought Dogecoins with it and offer to give them the Dogecoins.

Fuckin weak troll attempt I hope. When they find it (and they WILL), they will whack your account instanter and if it's not there you'll overdraw and they will charge you up the ass, and there will be fuck-all you can do about it.

Leave it alone and pretend it's gone for at least 30 more days, slick.

Of course this is a troll, but for any other gullible person reading...

You WILL be held accountable for that money. It's not a free for all.

I once got a ticket driving through a ton of states. I paid my $65 ticket with a check. about SIX months later, I closed that bank account. I let like two months elapse with no transactions just to be careful to make sure no stragglers were waiting to cash checks. This fucking sheriff tries to deposit my check SIX MONTHS LATER and it bounces. He has his secretary call me, I ask for him, and he starts threatening me to put out a warrant for my arrest and all this shit. Surely he was trolling at that point.

Anyways, point being... some people wait forever to cash checks or process money. This is why people balance checkbooks. If you're riding close enough to the line that you forget that $1000 is out there unaccounted for, then suddenly it gets processed, you might overdraw and get hit with penalties and whatnot.

Don't be a retard. Be responsible with your money. That goes for the idiots waiting six months to cash a check too.

They will find out their error eventually, and you'll be responsible for it if you try to play the system. Banks don't fuck around.

I would just call them and find out what's going on.

I had this happen. Took out $4,500 right before a trip to have on hand, money stayed in account. Waited, waited, waited some more, after about 6 weeks I figured it was just my lucky day and I'd gotten some Magic Money.

Later that year that account went over draft by like $800 because I'd forgotten and failed to make sure I kept the level above the Magic Money mark.

Not trolling, they do that shit. I got a FixIt ticket once when a headlight went out. Fixed it, had it signed off on. A year later I got pulled over for speeding and then arrested - someone failed to file my paperwork for the headlight ticket, and a warrant was issued.

Coincidentally this was the last time I ever kept less than $1000 cash stashed in each vehicle.

Worked in retail banking for awhile. Can confirm shit like this occasionally happens.

Dopey cashier (who is now a banking advisor, lol) processed a transfer for £1k for a rich regular customer & gave her the cash afterwards. Customer returned the money the next day. Different bank, different cashier, and a grand just straight up went missing. Girl was pregnant too, not suspicious in the slightest.. haha. She kept her job and the money never did turn up!

Don't spend it just yet, but fingers crossed ;)
