@swiftmoney, dude I am posting relevant useful information in this thread, and I'm certainly not interested in starting a website like this. I really think we should as an "industry/gay webmaster group" get to the bottom of some of this stuff...but as mentioned by another poster, it is likely a few people here on WF run these types of operations, and they probably don't want the "legal loophole/extortion-evading-technicalities/immunity" stuff talked about all that much. I'm telling ya'll this is the type of thing that is going to impact ALL of us in negative ways in the future...

Examples?

I can't think of anyone in the thread who has done something that is illegal. The closest would be the people talking about DDOS attacks, that is assuming that someone did actually DDOS him, and that you could prove the DDOS came from the person.

I'm guessing that rather than bribing the sites, they just have a DMCA template they send to Google.

I just wanted to inform you that a local resident, Andrew Myers, in Dayton, OH has been operating a very naughty website that exploits young females and has been bragging about his escapades online. In short, this is a website that was set up for people to get revenge on their ex's by having them post pictures of their ex's along with other personal contact information such as Facebook profiles, Twitter accounts, LinkedIn profiles, and place of employment. It is literally set up for the sole intention of ruining someones life. This is a very similar site to the one set up my Hunter Moore called IsAnyoneUp.com. This particular site had national news coverage ([ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNl1RkQmYuI]Dr. Drew Show: Part One - Hunter Moore (isanyoneup) vs. Tucker Max, April 23rd, 2012 - YouTube[/ame]), and it was exactly the same as this website that Andrew has set up.

He goes on to state:
"But in all honesty, I know i've got more flaming coming at me. But if someone killed themselves over my website,
the fame would be through the roof, and we all know fame = audience, audience = traffic, traffic = $$"

I took a look through his WP uploads folder and saw the same thing. He's hosting both a copy of the stolen image from YouGotPosted (with their watermark) and the new image with his watermark over top of it. The vast majority of his images were ripped from that site; there were only a few instances where he has the original photos. So he wasn't even successful at getting user submissions, despite the "marketing" he's so proud of.

All Drew Myers did was rip the photos, add his watermark, then add all the personal information right beside them (even yougotposted refrained from that,) then harass the victims. That's pathetic on so many levels.
