My Current Internet marketing portfolio Has a lot of great stuff on autopilot. I still devote pretty much full-time hours to scaling current projects but For me personally It is more beneficial to take more time away from the computer.

My creativity suffers if I spend too much time beating myself up in front of the computer Trying to solve problems. All my best and simplest ideas come to me when I'm doing something else.

I could easily free up 30 hours a week to do whatever.

Some crazy things I considered include getting a pilots license, commercial oyster farming, bartending, Volunteer fire department.

Any suggestions for this restless soul?

you've found it.

Seconded. I can't think of a more fulfilling dream than owning a fucking Oyster farm.

Go for it bro. Or maybe...

You could figure out a way to give a few of those idle hours to an effort that will enhance your community and maybe even the country that gives you such awesome opportunities to be that bored?

Just sayin...

Oyster farm... Teach... Travel... Or take over the world Palpatine-style.

...Whatever calls to you the strongest.

However, there is a lot of safe-making work to do now in order to weather out the upcoming financial shitstorm. Have you got portable savings? Depression-proof income? 2nd/3rd passport with a place to go if everything tanks here? A good gun and the training to use it if you have to? There is about 100 different things I'd be doing to make my savings and life more secure if I wasn't still working everyday on my income. (And addicted to WF, of course.)

Before you pump money into something like an oyster farm (which really does sound cool, by the way) try to at least do the following:

1. Pick a place far away to go if you can't stay stateside. Preferably out of the entire western world. Imagine the dollar and the Euro are both toast by christmas; where would you go?

2. Get citizenship or at least residency there, so you can buy and own property there indefinitely.

3. Put savings there or at least make your savings portable enough to move there on your person in something other than dollars. Gold, whisky, oysters, (Pearls would be good enough) whatever, just make it portable and accepted everywhere.

4. Get a good weapon and the training to use it well. (Since you're here in the US I'd say a good handgun, but you can get much more than that.)

As you can imagine, just doing these basics will take a lot of time and money, so my advice is to let THIS be your hobby for a while until you've got your family's survival ensured through the worst possible scenarios.

Then the oyster farm would be awesome. In either location.

I second having a "2nd Passport". If you want to do it quick and dirty, look at Paraguay. You can accomplish this for under $5K (including round trip airfare) plus hotel. Very lax to say the least. It is beautiful there, if you're single and American be prepared to be fucking mobbed by women literally and Brazil & Argentina are a short trip away.

(You haven't lived until you have experienced Argentinian Women!)

The only thing I was concerned about in Paraguay and the contingency plan of riding out an economic disaster there was: it's land locked, no access to a Sea Port. Growing up on the Gulf Coast this freaks me out. Secondly, being surrounded by unstable regimes (Columbia & Venezuela anyone) is a bit unnerving. BUT - none of that matters if you just want to get the fuck away from America, you don't have to reside in Paraguay to use said Passport.

You got too much time?

Really?

I could easily fill 48 hour days with my hobbies alone.

Something I've always wanted to do is get a trike and do what this guy does. There's a bunch of cool looking places you can't even get to in my state and I wanna see some of this shit for myself.

It won't link with the time code on it so just skip to 1:49.

Fucking this. Surely you have plenty of shit you enjoy doing and wish you had more time for? I game, build shit, woodwork, all sorts of shit - you probably have things like that, no?
