New Skype sucks

Fuck this update. They seriously ruined this good piece of software with the latest update. I am trying to add a contact and it showing loading sign for over 5 minutes now and nothing happens.

When you sign-in, it takes approx 1-2 mins to load the contacts and messages.

anyway, we can downgrade and still keep all the history and messages?
 


^ OP did not updated since July and now he updated and didn't like. I second that it sucks. Even there is huge delay if someone adds us on skype to get a notification.
 
Fuck Skype. Fuck it goddamn to hell. I only have limited experience but it was enough to sear its way permanently onto my shit list.

It doesn't show up in your control panel; if you try and download it while it's already installed it won't alert you; you have to spend time googling just to learn how to fucking uninstall it.

Not to mentioned there are loud whispers of privacy concerns and general bugginess (substantiated by this thread).

It's to the point where one of my AM's only has Skype and because of this I'm going to request a new AM (or using alternate networks)

Seriously if you're not videoconferencing (something which I've no need for) what's the fucking goddamn point? Boycott the shit. Fuckers need to die.

I used to be a die hard Skype fan boy. Sad to see them decline over the years.

BUT they are now owned by Microsoft and we all know how this will end up...

+ Microsoft and the FBI love that wiretapping...

No not the best I can do, just the best I care to do.

Been using it for more than 2 years for business purposes, and so do tons of other people. Sorry you're too mentally handicapped to make it work, can't say I've had many issues.

Maybe you can take your ass back to AOL messenger? Maybe ICQ? Yeah, that's hot.

This is true, FBI offered a bunch of money for anyone that could find a way to wiretap it, so Microsoft just bought it. But really they can get their hands on everything else, and spy on you in every other way, so what's to make you think anything is safe?

Chat has been my biggest time killer, so I use Vonage as much as possible for internet calls, and my skype is offline all the time. If you only call US and Canada, they have a special 9.99 per month they will offer you, when you call up customer care. Also call me a Laggard, I never ever update anything until it has been tested by all the early adopters :P
 
friend told me the update was trash so i've been clicking the "update later" button every few hours for a couple weeks

Well if that's the case, the tard should be able to afford a good enough computer than can run Skype. I know, those required system stats be ballin and all.
