My second medical marijuana thread o.o

^^^ That's why you don't actually get the state issued ID. There's no reason to. All you need is a doctor's "recommendation", and that's what you can carry with you when needed. You just give that to your favorite farmacy (represent!) and you're good to go. It's not required to have a state-issued medical marijuana card.

Damn my sciatica, anxiety and migraines are acting up again brb

In WA you can be a caregiver to someone with a card which gives you all the rights to grow/possess it you just can't consume it.......

And it's a recommendation, not a state database, they passed some law here where it has to be on special paper and shit, but other than that you just have to pay a yearly fee to keep it active with whatever doctor you got it from. And you can nominate your best friend to be your caregiver and they magically can possess 24 ounces and 15 plants on your behalf.

There are co-ops that will grow on your behalf and give you some, the gov doesn't like them as they say they're growing for 50 patients and have a whole house of herb, the law isn't really defined so they've been refining it adding shit like you can only be a caregiver to 1 person at a time, but it's evolving...

vape or go home

MEH, vaping doesn't really do it for me to be honest. It is more of a party/social thing it seems like here, everyone pass around the bag etc. I enjoy vaping and it is healthier and the high is "headier/clear", but I get way more medicated when I "smoke the whole plant". With vaping you're not getting a lot of the carcinogenic nasties, but you're also not getting all of the plant's goodies. Give me a solid, clean, properly-filtered bongrip and I am good to go.

I honestly wish vapes could give you the "complete effect", because I would switch to them almost entirely.

Get a bud bomb. They're awesome, you can smoke on the go (it's not a vape, so obviously not indoors), quicker to load than a joint, healthier, since there's no paper, hits you harder, easy to get the dose perfect, and you can take as many tokes as you want (it's metal, so you don't need to put it out, it'll put itself out moderately fast.)

Dude, the reason you feel more "stoned" when smoking - that "something" that's missing when you vape - is BECAUSE of all the carcinogenic crap you inhale. That is just a side effect of all the nasty toxic gases you're inhaling.

Smoking anything is horrible for you. If you like that truly stoned feeling, there are plenty of strains that can give you that from a vape, trust me.

shiitttt this thread makes me wish I could still smoke herb and not go into anxiety, contemplate the meaning of life mode.

Now I probably smoke once a year, and most of the time when I get high I start thinking way too deep about what life is and the fact that it could end at any given second. Not a good high.

I haven't tried one, but isn't the thing about the vape that it's set to a certain temperature, and as a result, you pretty much solely get the chemical that vaporises at that temp, whether it's CBD, THC or one of the many many other cannabinoids?

I may be wrong though :)

LOLOLOL OK bruh. I know my herb no worries.

The fact is you are not going to get fully medicated with a vape. There are other GOOD interactions aside from THC etc. With a vape you are not getting the effects of the entire plant, just some of the active ingredients...BUT NOT ALL OF THEM.

I don't know anyone here in the Bay that JUST uses a vaporizer, and it seems like everyone I meet feels the same way I do about vapes not really being an "every day" piece, aside from the people that really do have other lung issues or people that need to be more discreet smell-wise with kids etc. They are kind of a "fad" thing in socal it seems like too.

Vaporizing just does not do it for me as a standalone process and the majority of cannabis users I interact with here, YMMV.

Take a bongrip of a heavy indica and then "puff" on a vape bag. The vape bag is going to produce a "headier" high regardless etc

Also, re-reading my response above, it comes off as douchey to dsiomtw and I didn't mean for that mang.

I am just saying I swear I have this convo with folks IRL like once a week about vapes/smoking/edibles etc and I always hear from someone: "vaping gets all of the good stuff and none of the bad" etc...and that just is not true concerning the different interactions that take place at different temps. IMO it is obvious when you consume cannabis regularly that something is "missing" when medicating with a vape, and it is not just the "bad stuff".

Does that the first time you smoke, if you smoke a few more times it builds a tolerance that just gives you a nice buzz.

I've taken breaks and felt like that the first time I smoked but by the time I'm done with the 1/8 it's feeling good and happy.

I have a prescription for narcotics and prefer herb.

No worries bro. If you like inhaling relatively large amounts of toxic cancer causing substances go for it! :P

I don't have the link handy but I'm 99% sure that "scientific" studies have shown that the toxic stuff you inhale when you smoke causes you to feel more "stoned". I'll pass on that.

OG Kush + vape works just fine for me. And every time I dump out the used herb I'm reminded that that shit would otherwise be in my lungs, and I like my little solo vaporizer even more.
