On this, our 11th anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11, I'd like for us to all take a moment or two and remember the victims of the corrupt murderers who run the US government and hope that one day the families they left behind can find peace once the conspiracies have been uncovered and the following two facist, murdering traitors are properly punished, posthumously or otherwise:

If so, please go ask any structural engineer if it is possible to take a steel-framed building down with any airplane to any upper level. It's never been done before that day or since, and they damn well know it.

Hopefully you'll listen to the professionals. Still don't believe it? Then I DARE you to go out and find JUST ONE structural engineer who knows steel-framed buildings like the WTC towers and bldg 7 and ask them if the gov's story is even REMOTELY plausible. Just one. (That doesn't work for the US Government.) You won't find one... And that's simply because those buildings were all designed to take MULTIPLE airplane hits and never collapse at all... Yet 2 airplanes supposedly took down 3 buildings... Yeah, my ass hairs can play the ukelele, too.

The really point of this thread though is to remember and honor the victims... And of course they'd want to have the world know the truth about their deaths, wouldn't they? It's DIShonorable to play along with the official story. That's like wearing a yellow ribbon on your car to say you support the troops and then be glad that your troops are sent off to the middle east to build the american empire.

A secondary point of this thread, and I believe a very interesting one is this: If the PBS airing of that AIA doc gets enough people thinking, what could the outcome be?

I mean Tons of people, not just a few hundred more, but let's say for shits n giggles, what if half the entire nation sees that AIA doc?

Unless they choose to forget it quickly, I can't think of another outcome than immediate jailing of Bush and Cheney, but then what? Send them to the Hague to be tried for war crimes? Execution? Or just Guantanamo?

It would indeed be an interesting situation but of course I have no doubt that this country still isn't ready to accept the truth yet. Perhaps in another decade or two, once W is dead.
 
Lukep. In one thread you're debating for the theory of evolution on the basis of the scientific method and in another you're an advocate for the 9/11 truther movement which uses selective evidence gathering and offers absolutely nothing in the way of hard evidence.

These 9/11 truthers pull a bunch of random BSc's, MSc's and Phd's out of a hat and have them say "Nope. Not possible" and this is supposed to be taken seriously. I'm sorry, but having a whole string of letters after your name does not immediately establish your credibility nor does it make anything you say not sound soul crushingly retarded.

With that said. Thomas Eager at MIT published an excellent paper on why the towers fell as they did.

I guess everyone else is just asking the truthers to get something published. Produce a peer reviewed paper. There were like 900 engineers or something in that first video, one of them has to have a pen.

Edit: And let me just add one very important thing. The AIA wants absolutely nothing to do with this video or the truther movement. The claim that the AIA has put out this video is an absolute lie. Second last paragraph.

With Ron Paul at the head of the executive branch, Bush will be held accountable for his war crimes. But first, people will finally realize the horrors and war, and that the ones the US is currently engaged in were started on false pretenses, and he'll bring the troops home from the 100+ bases around the world. Shortly after the Bush & Cheney vs. The World trial, people will acknowledge that taxation is theft, and involuntary taxation will be eliminated over a 6 month period. Then, and only then, we will be prepared for Jesus to descend from the heavens on his diamond-farting unicorn.

Sorry to be such a Debbie Downer, but I think you're regularly overly-idealistic about things like this, and greatly underestimate the control of the state.
 
9/11 is a prime example of what Richard Huxley was talking about. Facts don't matter on this one anymore. People are going to believe what they want, regardless of what the facts say.

And yes, I do believe it was an inside job. It's pretty much impossible not to.

And Luke, Bush isn't going to see the inside of a cell within his life. heh, while President he even passed a law authorizing the US military to invade the Netherlands, and extract him and his buddies from the Hague, just in case he ended up there. LOL, what a delusional fuckwit. Invade the Netherlands, LOL.
 
I was referring to the conspiracy theories that often prevail American tragedies and ultimately result in abundant hypothesis void of any outcome. JFK assassination is a case in point, speculation without consequence and this is no different, an exercise in futility, ultimately nothing will change.
 
Just got done watching all 4 days of The Toronto Hearings which were just released. You can watch the 4 days of testimony here:

I came into this with an open mind (I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 many years ago but just couldn't stomach buying any of Michael Moore's bullshit). After watching the Toronto Hearings, I feel like I need to do some more research on counterpoints to some of the arguments made in it.

A couple of the speakers were just awful and provided no evidence whatsoever - only circumstantial evidence and theories - (specifically, I'd skip the second speaker on day 1, and the lady on day 4). But I have to say Days 2 & 3 are very good which are all very educated people talking about physics, chemistry, and examining eye witness testimony.

I don't see how the molten metal pouring out of the tower could have been produced by jet fuel melting aluminum (jet fuel doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel) - aluminum turns silverish color almost immediately after being removed from an 1800 degree heat source. That shit is pouring out of the side of the building looks a lot like thermite burning through steel to me. There's a pretty elaborate presentation on one of the days where the guy does all kinds of thermite experiments.

How many accounts have there been of people at Ground Zero who reported hearing rapid cascading blasts? - Reports made before the official story came out.

The free fall acceleration of building 7 is impossible to ignore as well. Watch the video. That is not what structural failure looks like.

Day 3 Bonus: there's a guy who looks and sounds like Wilson from House.

I haven't seen enough evidence to conclude that it was an inside job - there's still some possibility that there were obscene break downs in security that were so embarrassing, lying about what actually happened was preferable to exposing multiple levels of incompetence. But I have heard enough to conclude the entire 9/11 Commission process was a sham. It was resisted by the Bush administration, run by its appointed cronies, underfunded, and then put on an impossible deadline. Furthermore the explanations of the report itself don't add up.

It makes me sad as I see friends on facebook this morning parroting GWB lines like "We were attacked because extremists hate our way of life and our freedom" (yeah someone's ignorant ass got unsubscribed). I hope more people will be open to simply looking at the evidence instead of blindly accepting the bullshit our government feeds them.
 
Bush had nothing to do with the attacks. In case you forgot the powers that be had him scheduled to be reading a children's book about a pet goat a thousand miles away from ground zero.

Who says it was the government? why couldn't it be a group of powerful men keen to profit trillions from a war? Sure I believe something is suspicious about it, but do you have any evidence it was the government? What has been gained? trillions of dollars of debt and a crippled economy.

Oh wait, you put me on your ignore list because you prefer to live in a bubble. Silly me.
