Is Firefox 14.0.1 Slow as Shit for Anyone Else?

Only downside with chrome is the firebug lite scroll which overlaps the document window else my one ff window would have been closed permanently.

Glad it's not just me.

FF regularly crashes - took down my whole PC yesterday.

IE is far more stable and despite it being a bit hideous I use it more and more.

Been using the Iron version of Chrome for years, it's really good though sometimes struggles with video.

for me it is working fine and no speed issues. The updates are nice and easy to use it.Due to new features i am able to use firefox with out any problems

Gave up on FF a long time ago. Slow and bloated. Switched to Chrome after much hesitation and haven't looked back since. Most of the plug-ins for FF there is an equivalent for on Chrome.

FireFox & Flash seem to be getting progressively worse. Hate the thoughts of using a browser from giggle. Who knows what data they are collecting in the background...

It was hard moving to Chrome after years of Firefox use but the speed and stability make up for it and you'll get used to it after a few weeks.

Chrome now has plenty of add-ons so the transition isn't as bad as it was a few years ago.

I'd love Firefox to tighten up their code and get fast and stable like Chrome. If they did, I'd be right back using FF.

Check out Comodo. It's a chromium based browser that's supposed to be better for privacy. Dragon Internet Browser ? Comodo Dragon Web Browser

Installed Chrome last night and it's not bad. A little different with tabs on top, no status bar at the bottom, etc., but overall I'm diggin it. So much quicker than FF so at least I can get some shit done.

I use Chrome and love the "Minimal" theme by Google. I like the interface, the one box for search or typing a URL, as well as all the plugins, but Chrome is not without problems too. It comes with it's own version of Flash player built in and if you have Flash player already installed for other browsers on your machine there are sometimes conflicts and crashes because of this. Every few days I get a complete crash to desktop using Chrome.

Chrome does not render fonts nearly as nice as Firefox or IE9 on Windows, it's antialiasing and subpixel hinting blows in comparison.

Smooth scrolling in Chrome also isn't nearly as nice as Firefox.
