Ok, maybe not that much but heres some ideas for you since im busy right now...

Facebook applications are gonna be the way of the future. Trust you me. Theres some crazy shit going on with them right now.

Two ideas:
-Calendar application. People can share calendars, shit theyre doing. Tie in contextual ads with aff marketing. If they are posting their class schedule, offer them notebooks and pens. If its Joe's birthday next Tuesday, ask them if they want a gift for Joe. Having a party? Buy shot glasses here. etc etc

-Shit I Just Got (couldnt think of a better name). I got this idea from the iPhone. This one could profit heavily on big product launches. A bunch of people today got iPhones and a bunch of people are going to want to stroke their egos and show it off. So,let them show it off to people and include aff links along the lines of 'Jealous that Joe just got an iPhone? Get one here for 40% off!' or something like that

Part of the value in both of these is that you have peoples names, information, and profiles. Its an eye catcher to see 'Joe Brown's birthday is next week, did you buy him a gift?' and provides a perfect opportunity to seamlessly integrate your marketing with their events.

Just a few ideas. If anyone persues them, let me know how it goes... particularly in the form of a 20% gratuity if its profitable.

:)

(+rep appreciated ;) )

Jesus people, open your eyes. First line of the post sez...

This is what we call sarcasm, humor, etc. News Flash: 30k/day is NOT possible.

Ok your missing my fucking point. Im not asking you where you addressed it in this post, im asking how you pulled that number out of your ass.

If you're gonna talk about earnings, talk about something near what YOU made.

Saying you can make 30K a day (then saying in the post" well not really") just to be an attention whore is gay.

Theyre ideas. I havent acted on them and dont plan to. Its called trying to contribute to the community.

Take them or leave them and quit bitching.

Contributing doesnt mean lying in the thread title to get people to click, then admitting you lied in the body of your post.

Take them or leave them and quit bitching.

I'm not saying they're bad ideas. They might be good. A better title might be "A few ideas to make some good cash" or something else. To say 30K a day is just being an attention whore and will get you flamed for being lame.

This thread would have gotten a much better response if it were not for the title. For future reference just make the titles directly reference the contents, you can spice them up but that title was not at all relevant.

Anyways, I like the ideas. Haven't even looked into the FaceBook apps. Thanks for providing another marketing vector to research. :yin-yang:

I actually think you might be overestimating the power of Facebook apps. I was reading an article the other day (wish I could find it, sorry) where an application developer for facebook said that less than 1% of the apps actually get an install base that is worth the effort it took to make the app.

I think he is not far off either. I'm a pretty avid Facebook user myself, and after the first few useless requests from friends to join applications or share this or share that, I've pretty much ignored them from then on out.

I think the application base has room for some really good applications that will do really well, but anything that is just a cheap implementation will run into problems finding a regular userbase.

And then the ones that do take off require hundreds, or even thousands, of servers to keep up with the demand. And thats before you figure out the monetizing part. A better title might be how to spend 30k a day.

A real business model for 30k a day is actually owning the site. There is a lot of hype around facebook apps right now. The facebook founder either wants to be the god of social networking or he is hyping the shit out of the site so they can get a obnoxiously huge multi-billion dollar sale price.

Trends come and go. 10 years from now, Facebook will still be around, but it won't be king.

So where did the $30k come from?

[making fun of original poster] DIDNT YA READ? I POSTED THAT I EXAGGERATED IT IN THE POST [/making fun of original poster]

I asked the same question and the OP bashed me for not recognizing that he clarified that you cant make $30K.

And thats not even what I was asking lol.
