I'm sure I can't be the only one who has way too many business ideas to actually implement, and I know people often complain they can't think of an idea for a business.

So here goes... a thread to post stuff that you think someone else might be able to pick up and run with.

Here's my first one for starters:

An online dating site that pulls in music tastes from Spotify and reading lists (from somewhere else) to use in match-ups. A quick straw poll of my friends indicates that they often share tastes with partners in music and books. Plus people interested in reading tend to be higher social class, so better advertiser revenue.

Reading has been done, sort of, by alikewise, but haven't seen music and books combined (although haven't looked for that long)

inb4 12-year old troll derailment with stupid suggestions/flaming proves I should really give up

That sounds like more of a feature than a product. No hate, just saying. :2twocents:

This isn't my idea, it was originally posted by someone on here and I thought it was pretty good.

Buy a few 'kiosks', essentially just a PC with the keyboard fitted into some sort of exterior. Something like this

KIOSK.jpg

See if you can make an agreement with Cash4Gold/Pawn Shops/scummy sort of places to allow you to place the kiosk in their shop for a monthly fee or a % of earnings. Have the screen display only a payday loan offer with your aff ID and have a sign basically saying "Payday Loans, instant decision" or something like that. People would be far more likely to trust something like this in a shop than going to a random webpage.

I hate idea outing. Just bc you aren't doing it doesn't mean someone else isn't. Too many fucking people see this shit.

I don't give a fuck if I have a guaranteed million dollar idea and I'm serving life in prison... that's my fucking idea. No stranger is going to bank on my idea... get your own fucking ideas. Now, inspiring someone to have their own ideas is another story... guess im just a selfish, greedy little hatin bastard.

No it isn't.

Ideas aren't unique. Action is.

I am guessing your 2011 tax return didn't hurt very much.

^^ What the fuck ever Yoda. Damn, you can type more words without saying shit than anyone I've ever encountered.

Did enjoy your link webinars though so props where props are due.

Use wordpress plugins to take over the entire interwebs!

Oh wait, I'm already working on that one. ;)

For a more serious response, niched social networks and figuring out a way to cross integrate them across other niched social networks will be the next step in internet evolution.

I'd be getting on this train if I were you.

Action is no more unique than an idea. Or one could be more unique than the other dependent on specifics. Srsly, stop with the Yoda shit.

Now, action is far more rare and profitable than ideas MOST of the time.

online dating site for attractive people.

moderators would approve/reject members based on how attractive they are.

i was in the shower when i thought of this idea, and i thought it was brilliant. until i came out of the shower and discovered it was already done. FUCK

In reality there are a ton of online dating websites that could be specifically niche made. For example, you could make a dating site for pet lovers who have and love animals. Or vegan or vegetarian people. Maybe even hipsters? haha There list could go on forever really.

Honestly, you can just look at online businesses that failed 5-6 years ago and a lot of them could be started up now.

For example, Groupon was originally done be Mercato about 8-9 years before. The only problem was people were wayy more hesistant to spend money online back them.

Dodgeball was around before Foursquare, but it came too early. Everyone had to check-in via Text Messaging.

WebTV failed when it tried to integrate the Web and Television. But right now is just about the perfect time to merge the two.

So just go back and look at some failed startups and ask yourself if now is the right time for it.

Used this reply in another thread, but it seems fitting here also ;)

Print off an amazing book cover titled How to Make $100 a Day. Pitch it to every single person that passes you at Wal-mart, Target, Gas Station etc...

"Act RIGHT NOW! This is the only copy left of this amazing course that will teach Y O U how to easily make $100 a day, every day, forever! I'm offering it for 5 more minutes before I drive over to Kmart and sell it to an already interested buyer! Act now because I don't wanna drive and you NEED this information!"

After a while you'll almost certainly sell it. At this point you should exit quickly and quietly.

Happy and excited customer opens the book to see a one page report that says the following:

Step 1. Make an amazing book cover that says "How to Make $100 a Day" and print it off.

Step 2. Print this list and put it inside said cover.

Step 3. Goto Wal-mart, Target, etc and pitch it to people as was done to you.

P.S. Thanks for buying my $100/day system!

There's a business idea for you all. lol.

No.

Your ideas aren't unique to you any more than every thought is unique to everyone.

If you really believe YOUR ideas are unique, then everyone's ideas are unique and no one can steal your ideas.

Now contribute an idea, or get the fuck out of this thread.

Jesus, this isn't a philosophical debate fucktard.

Out respect for OP, I will get the fuck out of this thread as yoda so eloquently suggested, bc I'm not contributing any of my possibly unique/possibly not unique/impossible to label ideas. Instead, i will go take some most definitely unique action and build up some adsense sites.
