This show is fucking stupid.
Big Brother walks around and makes sure you're doing everything in accordance of what is acceptable by society. One show they were pestering some guy because he was gonna buy booze for some teens.

LOLMaybe not so much drugs... but teens should be introduced to drinking before 21 IMO. Otherwise when they turn 21 they go all out wildin to make up for all those times they were never allowed.
In EU, you can drink from age of 13-16 depending on the country.

The manager was the cashier as I was paying and a black kid walked in with baggy pants so the manager called one of the associates to follow him because he looked suspicious (he didn't he looked like a black kid wearing baggy pants), I ended up having to go grab something else and this black suspicious kid was just meeting up his mom or sister or something. . . . very suspicious.
Another time my mom went to elder-beerman and was trying on clothes only to have a sales person barge in on her while she was trying clothes on and accused her of theft. . . why? Well she is hispanic and that was the only difference between her and the white women trying on clothes so logic would dictate that the motivation to accuse her would be race.
The last time was for a customer of mine who had his accounts closed and was accused of being illegal because he is a hispanic roofer. I re opened the guys accounts, only to have the same dip shit re close them and he threatened to call the cops becuase of him being illegal. . . the guy asked him to call the cops to prove he wasn't and so he would stop closing the accounts. . . the manager never called lol.

If their hypothesis is "people don't care when a black person gets thrown out of a shop for no reason", rather than "people don't care when a person gets thrown out of a shop for no reason", then surely they should have a control variable of the same thing happening with a white person?
I used to get profiled when I would go into stores sometimes, particularly when I was younger. I wish I could say it was because I'm black, but since I'm not black that makes it pretty hard. I'm 36 now and it rarely happens anymore, probably because not many 36 year old white males are stealing shit out of stores. However, just a couple of weeks ago I walked into a gas station to grab an energy drink and didn't like their selection. After a few minutes I started to walk out and the guy got all suspicious and said "Can I help you" in a fucked up tone. If I was black, it would have been easy for me to assume it was because of my skin color, and I think when that happens to a black person they almost always make that false assumption.
If a 40 year old black man in a suit walks into a store followed by a 20 year old white man wearing baggy clothes with piercings and tats - who do you think security is going to watch? But that's still profiling, right? The truth is, not every time you're profiled are you being profiled for your skin color alone. There are a lot of cues that security/police look for, most of which are developed over time from experience so it's foolish to dismiss them as being based on race alone.
Also, don't forget that these stores review their security tapes so they see who is stealing all of their shit. After awhile it would be impossible for them not to recognize the demographics of the people stealing. Should they ignore that? Should we strip search granny at the airport and ignore the young arab males just because we don't want to offend anyone? Should police in Detroit stop pulling me over when I go back to my old neighborhood even though most white males in that area are there to buy drugs or whores?
tldr; Profiling is normal and unavoidable so get over it.

Also what about the mexican guy that had valid ID's that I was able to verfiy? Why would an illegal ask you to call the police to prove that he is indeed legal? Why would you not call the police when the "illegal" insist that you do? oh right he had no grounds to suspect illegal immigrant other than race. . . again there was no profiling only racism.
Profiling would be can I see your ID's. . . . you inspect ID seems to be inconsistent with what you have seen in the past so you place them under the black light to verify what a fake ID and what a real ID looks like then you would proceed to match the image of what you saw with images of real and fake ID's look like (which I did, because my company has access to that and found them to be ligit) but the other guy didn't do his due diligence and just assumed mexican equals illegal that's not profiling that's racism.
I managed a cell phone store downtown and my customers were predominantly black, I had the store broken into once during my 3 years there and the culprits were white. Also my Losses due to theft were no more or no less than a predominantly white trafficed area so your "profiling of blacks or other non-whites" is retarded. There is the right way to profile and the wrong way you seem to find the wrong way to be effective.
The only difference you saw. Maybe they saw something else, or maybe they just didn't like hispanics. The point of my post isn't to say there isn't any bad profiling or racism, it was to point out that often times it isn't racially motivated, even though people tend to assume it always is. If that were the case, white people would never get profiled or followed in stores even though it happens every day.
I didn't address your examples because they were based an experiences that you had of which I know nothing about. You didn't address any of my examples either, but you don't see me bitching about it.
That's a cute anecdote, but according to every statistic known to man it is not the norm. Or would you like to provide some statistics that shed light on the fact that the majority of crime committed in black neighborhoods is not committed by blacks? Also, don't put shit in quotes and try to attribute it to me. I actually posted cases of whites (including myself) being profiled too. Everybody gets profiled depending on where you are and what you're doing. Deal with it.
Don't see why people are bashing this show so much..I've watched just about all of the different "episodes" and I think it's pretty cool. I mean, it just let's us see how fucked up some can be. Yeah, a few of you said that profiling will always exist. Well no shit..but that doesn't make it RIGHT..

Honestly, sometimes I feel like I'm surrounded by a bunch of fuckin morons on this forum. Get out there and you'll see that there are great people from different ethnic backgrounds. This isn't the fuckin 1800's anymore.

I mean how naive are you reallY? People stereotype other people because that is the only realistic way to operate. It's akin to the gazelle telling the other gazelle that they shouldn't stereotype lions just because some of their friends got eaten by lions in the past.
I'm not into the US racewar, but were I live we have arabs, turks, palestianians and just like blacks they are much more criminal and violent statistically (a lot more), so naturally people here take that into account and tend to be wary around them. Fail to do so and you're likely to end up a victim. Then the other problem here is that they all dress the same way, so even if you're not the thug type you still look like the thug type. Now if I met one or more of these people sharply dressed and with articulate speech I certainly wouldn't cross the street. And before some of you accuse me of being a sheltered racist, I used to live smack in the middle of an immigrant ghetto and got no flack since I didn't give two shits about the thugs and kept thinking that I'd rather go down fighting than moving an inch in fear.

Let them make another one of these shows, except this time. Go park a luxury car in a crowded neighborhood near the Bronx. Hire a white actor to leave his car unattended and black actor to act like he's stealing it. ..............Then quickly count how many of the black bystanders whip out their cell phones to call the police.

Haha man I think you took what I said out of context. For the record, I am white (if it matters). I definitely did not say that whites are the only ones guilty of this. Not at ALL. I completely agree with you. Again, I was just pointing out that it is unfortunate that this sort of profiling exists, but I do realize that there is little we can do about it.
Yeah, sorry I just get annoyed with videos like this. The only thing I was trying to say is that the original video is bullshit. I get that the point was to gauge reactions from the public, but the scenario itself was contrived, acted out, over the top nonsense designed to get a rise out of people...and because of that, the reactions of the customers witness to it are kind of irrelevant. They aren't proving anything and this shit was only made for the purpose of ratings... I'm not denying that racism/stereotyping happens towards blacks while shopping, I've seen it myself. But 99.99% of the time it is very subtle and can often times be misconstrued. Meaning that it's easy for a minority to claim racial profiling when the actual suspicion could stem from anything like clothing being worn, personal hygiene, mannerisms, atypical behavior, etc etc. If I walk into a Nordstroms with baggy sweat pants, soiled shirt, and rugged looking shoes... I will most likely be watched pretty closely as well... It's not always a racial thing.
The main thing is, the media always overplays the race card and uses it specifically for the purpose of entertainment and ratings. This is aggravating and does absolutely nothing for forward progress and racial equality.
