At first I thought it was sarcasm but after considering other posts that poster has made and the general bias many members here have in favor of government handouts, I'm inclined to believe it wasn't sarcasm at all.

the guy is gonna go to prison which is understood by almost everyone, so vinny equating "Success" with prison time is clearly sarcasm, even ignoring all the other steps he listed the sarcasm is in the last step.

Edit: his post also insinuated a comedic tone to most here since the final step of Success! is comparable to the list of steps in the south park underpants gnomes episode

Hacking is not that difficult nowadays. NSA, CIA, FBI, etc have been hacking all other government and cooperate systems. They even have backdoors to many widely used encryption standards such as DES - which make them access "secure" systems even without having to break them. They access a lot of shit all over the world just silently and successfully. Russian and Chinese hackers are not that powerful as the US agencies.

LulzSec wanted publicity, that's the only difference between them and most of the other hacker groups. They were not the best hackers, may be one of the best though. By advertising their attacks 1. They exposed the insecure nature of the systems to everyone 2. They motivated the people of similar interest to involve in similar activities - which pissed off the federal agencies and got them hunted down.
Their advertisement was the biggest headache to the federal agencies, than the attacks.

Not always possible because systems are not always opened to attackers. Hackers attack only when a vulnerability is found and they can't attack all the systems, whenever they want. It may even take 2-3 years to complete a port scanning on an eCommerce system and still the chances of successful hacking is very less.
Financial systems are more secure than other systems and requires very high skills to break in. (It's not like DDoS or SQL injections that any script kiddies can do with the available tools and scripts).

Most of the attacks being done these days are DDoS and DDoS does not require much skills.
You can get a normal website down for one day by paying $50 to a guy who has access to a botnet. It requires 0 skills in terms of system and security.

lolwut. It would never ever ever take 2 to 3 years for a port scan. On a 56k modem it only takes a couple min. A DDoS attack isn't even in the same realm as actually owning a system. If you knew what I know about the heartland attack lol you wouldn't even be saying what you're saying. It was a REALLY REALLY simple exploit and you'd be loling all over if you knew what it was.
