What state you in? In NJ its a joke now. Before they had like 15+ people working at the DMV, now its about 4-6 people total. They used to really look for things, now they take about 30 seconds at each station and drive your car right down. Takes about 5 mins total, in and out. Rumors are they are just gonna get rid of the whole thing.

edit: wtf, I just noticed I'm almost at 1k posts. How did I reach 1k, are you serious? Wasn't really trying to go over.
 
protip:

get a walker or crutches, and keep it in your trunk.

arrive at the DMV when they OPEN.

get walker out, proceed to handicapped line.

get served first, go home early.

I went to the DMV last month, you could put in your cell # instead of taking a ticket and it would SMS your status in minutes how many people were in front of you and estimate time to see a lazy employee. Even better you could SMS it back for status and even add time so in the event you left and decided to come back a few hours later without having to start over. Tax $$ at work.

E Sahara is always crazy because that's where you have to go to get a wavier if you fail the bullshit smog checks we have.

brb check engine light on...you fail. Agree with the Stephanie one though. Never spent more than 30 minutes there. I used to live on the north side (north of Craig rd) and would drive there just to avoid the one off of Rancho.
 
i hate the dmv - had to renew my license ppl giving me a hard time but 96 year old men walking by me in canes getting their shit removed with no eye exam or road test

Yo ly2 I share your disdain for Merica but it's worth noting that I recently spent > 5 hours at the Thai consulate/embassy/whatever in order to do some bullshit that could have taken 15 minutes.

It's not the country, it's the understaffed, overworked, underpaid (are they really? idk) people not giving a shit and the nature of government/monopolized services... world-wide.
 
pro tip - find a DMV in a city with around 20-30k around you and waste the 30 minutes + to go there

Go in and be out in less than 20 minutes


another pro tip - what turbo said - why the fucking fuck fuckity fuck fuck are you going there on a the last friday of the month,

herp fucking derp you unorganized nit wit. Do you not work from home and go on like a wednesday around say 11am or maybe 2am not near the end of the month
