The writing is on the wall

These extremists, sometimes known as "sovereign citizens," believe they can live outside any type of government authority, FBI agents said at a news conference.

Those sort of comments infuriate me. They truly believe that you don't have the right to live outside of their control. These people aren't extremists, it's a growing sentiment. 5-10 years ago, it would sadden me to hear about the death of a police officer. Now, if I heard people were rounding up cops/bankers/politicians to execute them en masse, I'd say it's about fucking time.

Their only game is to force dependence. Make people think twice about biting the hand that feeds them. Nothing more, nothing less.

All dictators start by changing the language. Now, if you value your freedom over some bloated government spending proposal, you're an extremist. Just like the War on Terror is now and "Overseas Contingency Operation", and terrorist attacks are now "Man-caused Disasters". But keep voting him in to assuage your white guilt.

get me out of here

Do you really think this is a partisan issue? The same would be going on with McCain at the helm. Organizations like Greenpeace and Catholic peace groups were put on terrorist watch lists during the Bush years.

FBI probes were improper, Justice says

LOL. I thought the article was crazy, propaganda, and/or from the Onion. Then I started to think twice after reading this:

I'd let 10 sovereign citizens into my home before I'd ever let a single IRS or FBI agent in. It may not be much but that's just the way it is. That's what's wrong with this government.

This is a stupid comment. Anytime an IRS or FBI agent wants in your house, it's a bad situation. Of course you wouldn't want them in your house.

More comparative logic and theories, which is all Obama supporters have left as they quietly scrape their bumper stickers off. Bush is not president, in case you've been asleep. McCain is not president, so save the theories. Neither of them is up for election or re-election. And if they did this, it wouldn't be ok either. Not all of us need the government to save us from ourselves, and not all of us believe that we should be able to take others' money to support our causes just because we're sooo elite and enlightened and progressive. If the shocking growth of overreaching authority and private-life-intrusion in this country over the last decade doesn't bother you, you're a sheep. BAAAAAAAA

Gentlemen, it's time to start watching our words a little more carefully.

According to the FBI via Reuters reporter Patrick Temple-West, every last Ron Paul voter is a suspect for terrorism and is now deemed a "Sovereign Citizen." -Which before today sounded like it's a GOOD thing to be... But they define it now as:

Las Federales said:
Citizens of the US who may refuse to pay taxes, defy government environmental regulations and believe the United States went bankrupt by going off the gold standard... Sovereign members often express particular outrage at tax collection.

To my knowledge, this would include every last person who doesn't believe the very most naive versions of history that our public schools try to force upon us. Easily half the nation, if not 4/5ths.

Patrick Temple-West @ Reuters said:
J.J. MacNab, a former tax and insurance expert who is an analyst covering the sovereign movement, has estimated that it has about 100,000 members.

J.J. MacNab is obviously just looking for enemies to put away a la 1984. Thankfully he's underestimating his chosen opponent a bit. Judging by the comments on that page alone (1500+ HATEFUL comments already? Wow!) the response will be blowback, plain and simple. It is like watching that mouse above swim up to that turtle and smack him in the nose.

Now, the question is, will this blowback be in a true revolutionary form coming sooner than it would have otherwise, or will it simply mean more Ron Paul voters? Let's hope the latter is the case.

In fact this article is awesome for the Paul camp. It might make all the difference because it's certainly pissing off everyone who reads it. Let's all link to it and put it on facebook asap.

Wasn't NDAA drafted by McCain (R) and Levin (D)? I think that speaks volumes. Don't fall for the fucking distractions man.
