Is Forum Marketing Effective?

I've got this site and I put the link to it in a signature and I try making at least 5 useful posts per day. Not receiving much traffic so far. It's a dating clickbank review site.

I'm just relying on forums atm though, thinking I should move on to seo...
 


I guess it depends on the forum you're posting on :) For example, dating links on a soccer board -> less sense :)

However, forget about it - there are better ways to receive traffic...
 
Forum marketing is an effective way to promote websites however don't expect immediate results from doing it. Its still up to how good your post are that drives users to click on your signature. Give way better ideas and you are off to a good future with forum marketing.

True story: when I used to promote music events, one of my promotion ideas was to spray paint our logo onto the back of a load of sheep, and release them in the town centre.

I couldn't find anyone willing to sell me the sheep though. They took one look at me and guessed I was buying them for a nefarious purpose.

Probably a good thing, in retrospect.
