Lead Generation Input fields?

OK, I have been bored waiting for my larger projects to be coded and have started up a small niche site that I feel would be great for some lead generation...

My question is, how does this work? What information do you guys collect from the user, and how do you find people willing to buy it?

I'm more interested in what information is typically collected - just emails? Zips? First, last names? Addresses? All of it?

The more the better 420. There is long form and short form. Long form is usually Name, Email, Phone, Address, best time to call, etc. Short is a name and email.

It all depends on what market you are targeting and where the leads will go. If you are selling them then a long form is more valuable then a short form.

I do mortgages and now travel. In mortgage we get everything we can and ask for it but its not 100% neccassary. Meaning if they give us what we ask for great and if they don't thats ok too. I get everything on those 80% of the time. Name, address, social security date of birth etc. Travel is ok for name and email maybe a number but much lower pay out per lead.

Finding peeps to buy is the key because the lead generation industry has a bad name beacuse of rip off artisits that just recycle leads to 100's of people, so that will be your biggest hurdle. Building a good rep.

I say find something you can do and gen leads for your self to make the big money. So intead of having to produce 100 leads to make $2000, you can do it with just 1 or 2 leads. You get the lead, you are in control, you seal the deal. You collect the cash!!!!! =:rasta: = Lots of Reefer420

Thanks - I won't be able to do this on my own, its for a medical condition... and I'm not going to back to school for it.

Are there any companies that handle the lead collection for you (you would give them your list, tell them the topic, and get paid- or better yet the form would submit to them automatically each time it's filled out), or is it better to contact individual businesses, etc? I guess I'm not sure how I would estimate how much each lead would be worth... I haven't found any reference to lead generation in this niche yet.

I can't believe people give out their SSN to you! That is crazy.

I would say be a direct seller to a doctor of leads. I feel if you can handle the lead collection, verification and delivery then you will profit much more and have a long term relationship built as opposed to having a third party do it all.

As far as lead value. If this medical condition requires treatment and that treatment is $3-5k then $20-30 a lead is very reasonable. If its $500 then $2-5 a lead.

I truly think that this is the wave of the future for making money online reefer with affiliate offers. Find undersaturated markets and break them with your own indpendent offers.

There will always be great companies like COPEAC, Azoogle, CJ but they are not the only options to be a successful and profitable affiliate.

cool - well no harm in putting the input fields in anyway, then figure out what to do with the leads after I have a bunch... I wonder if there is a national network for the docs that would be interested in the leads instead of going to individuals...

oh well, adding the fields anyway - I hate over analyzing things - I have always done the best with things I've just jumped right into...thanks for the tips!

Mayb you should make sure you have buyers first before you go gund ho and se what they want for input fields and what they will pay.

Yeah I suffer a lot from paralysis by analysis. Maybe you can find me a doctor for that and I'll be your first lead.
