They've been advertising here for awhile, and I was wondering if anybody have used them before. Was it worth the $100? I'm going to get into affiliate marketing and I'm contemplating about whether I should use these guys because they may know there shit, or if I shouldn't waste my time with 'em and lose a bunch of money trying to learn. (Something about not re-inventing the wheel)

Are you bitching about spending $100 for a landing page? We maintain a neutral position whether someone is an advertiser or not. I've seen their work, they fuckin rock. They just did our media kit design, and are doing our booth design, and you're bitching about being nervous with $100 landing page design? Dude.. grow a set of balls. Either go with something that will work, or just keep doing whatever it is you're doing if it's working for ya, but to publicly ponder about spending some cash to get a pretty damn sweet design, hey, I guess to each their own..

It just bugs me to hell when people focus on really dumb things like that. Instead of worrying about how much you're going to spend on a design, think about the benefits of what it CAN do for you vs what it CAN'T do for you. Also, where are you planning on driving traffic from? I'd be a hell of a lot more concerned about my traffic expenses before my landing pages. Try out a piece of shit page/design with the same traffic, then try out a nice design and use the one with the highest ROI, simple as that, but just stop complaining about it.

Understand Jon's point... but if you don't have much money to spend... it could be a different story.

If you DO have the money to spend, why not set up a campaign pointing to the page THEY make for you and one pointing to the page YOU create with the same PPC campaign running on each. Or I suppose you could rotate two ads each pointing to a different URL.

Then you can see if it's worth the $100 yourself... and get more landing pages done or call it quits.

Just my one cent (it's probably not worth 2)

What the fuck Jon, how the hell did it come off as me bitching? All I did was ask a question. To me, it sounds like one of those eBook offers. Why the hell are they selling these 'awesome' landing pages for a lousy $100 when they could be using them themselves and making a lot more money.

And what am I complaining about? Do I need to rephrase my post or something. Jesus...

Traffic will be coming from Adwords and LookSmart. I'll build my own landing page and order one of these landing pages and I'll report the results. Mind you I've never made a landing page before so it may not be worth the effort of trying to maintain 2 campaigns when only 1 will convert. However I'll still give it a shot after finals next week.

I hate talking about the money I have to invest because I know everyone will bitch, but I think this is a good time to reveal it. I only make $200 a month at my job, so that may be why my original post came off as bitching. Its a big deal financially, but just because I'm a broke ass fuck doesn't mean I'm not willing to take the chance. So Jon, maybe you're right about the bitching part. I apologize.

Jon, you're an asshole. JamesH just asked a question and you've got to understand that not everyone has alot of money to throw around.

That's like saying why do the manufacturers of factory equipment sell their factory equipment when they could build factories and use their equipment there and (supposedly) make more money.

Anyway, as with everything, people are free to set whatever prices they like and people are free to either buy it or not. If they think the price is too high but others are still paying that price, then the best that can be said is that the price is too high for that person given their personal circumstances but it can't be said as a general statement. If the price is genuinely set too high then the seller will be forced to either reduce the price or will go out of business.

Um. No, it's not actually. Affiliate Marketing and Factory Equipment Manufacturers are completely two different trades. "Factories" are just large industrial buildings, sure money gets made in them but it's from the business's that run them.

Also Jon that's great that you agree that people should take risks and 'blow' $100 bucks just like that, even if they don't earn as much as you and without even doing any research into the company first! And shame on JamesH for making less than $10k a month! FUCK - Actually you should ban him right now, Jon.

nah, design your own.. easier to test variations and in a great number of cases a shitty design will do just fine.. I would worry more about the copy writing then the design to start with
just copy one of those ebook landing pages in terms of design
How To Build and Automate Your Internet Business Using Chain Reaction Marketing is a nice landing page, copy that to start with. If you dont want to include that much text, just put 5 - 6 bullet points or something.
Buying the landing page limits your ability to test variations and tweak it.. if you are unable to edit what they give you so either plan on forking over 300 - 600 per campaign or learn to do it yourself till you actually can afford their service.

Why would Jon let them advertise here if they sucked? I'm guessing they're pretty damn good at doing what they do.

I hope you don't make all of your spending decisions like this. When I consider buying something, the first thing I want is product feedback!

yeah and there is plenty of feedback about getlandingpages.com already on the forum.
