This was strange. Got some spam wall post from a Facebook friend. Went like this:

"OK guys my friend's company is doing a promotion and offering free Apple macbook air's. This hasn't been released to everyone yet but I'm sending it out to you guys to get a chance to get them first " And then in comments, every sing... happened to another friend. Wusgoinon.jpeg
 


I got a message from a South African herbalist and traditional healer who specializes in POWERFUL LOVE SPELLS. Beat that.
 
i got something similar in a message and was a link to an email submit. I forget the network, something with gold in it I think or it was a network with flashy gold stuff on their site. Maybe the guy on my friends list was just an affiliate?
 
Tagging them just pops it up in their news feed or sends an alert to their phone. It's an easy way for a spammer to get all your friends to look at it before you discover you've been hacked. You can remove people from coming up in your news feed but if they tag you it pops up in there anyway. Think of it as pinging your links. ;)
