Looking for a Wrist Watch to match my lifestyle

why use a watch when there's a clock on your phone? i used to wear watches, but stopped when i realized this. if it's girls you're after with your watch, they will probably deduct points from you for not realizing this also.

My buddy is the highest grossing salesmen for Rolex and Breitling in the U.S. He says the internals of Rolex are garbage compared to Breitling. He also says the only reason Rolex seems popular is because huge companies buy them as gifts for employees. So you see a ton of people you think are ballers wearing a Rolex because many of them get them for free.

Rolex is produced on a huge scale with many watches made per year. Breitling is much more exclusive and they only produce X amount of each model and that's it.

It's a style thing for gentlemen.

I'm much more confident in my appearance than most males. A brand-name watch is not going to contribute anything.

In fact anyone who thinks positive of me because I would wear one is probably someone I would despise.

Just sayin, enjoy your watches, boys..

Ok, then don't wear one. A watch is a an accessory and just a way for guys to express their style since we don't really wear earrings, necklaces, etc. I wear a Rolex because I like it and don't care if I impress anyone with it. I spend most of my time in Asia so ppl probably think it's fake anyways lol.

Think you have issues if you despise people because they like nice watches, such a strong word.

^^^ This. I've stopped wearing one ever since I got a cell phone... like almost a decade... Now whenever I see a guy wearing a watch, my mind will go 'that's so gay'...

Likewise, I don't leave the house without a watch on. It's not because I'm trying to make an impression, it's because I feel naked in public without one. To each their own. It's a pretty fucking stupid argument to get into; "You must wear a watch!", or, "you're a douchebag if you wear an expensive watch!". Really? Do what you like. Spend your money on what you like. Don't listen to asswipes telling you how you should live your life.

LOL, what kind of gym do you go to?

All the gyms I visit have clocks everywhere.

Unless you're going for outdoor/water sports like the OP... there's really no reason to wear one, some say it's for style.. I say it's going out of style. To each its own. Just sayin.

Plenty of people in my gym wear watches. If I'm just doing some cardio I quite often leave my rolex on, its safer than leaving it in a locker and I can time things (I don't take my mobile in the gym). I'm certainly not concerned someone might rob me! Suppose it depends where you live.

if ur concerned about theft leave your rolex at home.. running on the threadmill with it will do a lot of harm to the movement.

This.

My watch is an accessory since I don't wear pinkie rings, necklaces, chains, or earrings.

LOL @ the people in this thread trolling.

If you don't like a watch, or wear one for that matter, then what the fuck are you doing in this thread?

Chances are half the people hating on watches because they aren't a necessary accessory probably wear hats.

I like watches and have a relatively nice one, but judging people based on the watch they wear is stupid (as is judging people by the car they drive or the house they live in) and I really feel sorry for anyone who is wearing a nice watch or driving a nice car because they are worried about how others will judge them.

Buy things because you like them.

A friend is a watch aficionado (and engineer) who takes apart watches and he says the same thing about mechanical parts of a Rolex.

Own a datejust rolex myself, but I gotta take that bitch off whenever I'm typing, playing sports or working out; not that comfortable for those activities.
