How to not let the money get to your head?

LY2 LET THE MONEY GET TO HIS HEAD

HE WONT CRAFTSTAR WITH ME ANYMORE.

NURGA IS LEVEL SERIOUS NOW.

When I focused on keeping my expenses low, my income tended to be more stagnant. When I stopped focusing on what I didn't want to spend money on, and instead, focused on just making more money, I found myself much more comfortable than I would be if I cut my expenses as low as possible.

This also raised my confidence levels a lot higher. I was taking on more than I thought I could handle, managed it, and then that challenge was something that would never intimidate me again, because now I know I can do it (and in retrospect, you always see 10 other ways you could have done it, even easier). Now I set the bar higher. Wash, rinse, repeat.

I strongly agree with this post.

Money doesn't make you better then anyone else. I agree with everyone else, she's just doing her job. I've always been one to say money can buy happiness, but the more I acquire, the less true I see that is. Do what you want and have fun, but like other people are saying, good health and friends are key.

I still look for coupons before I buy things. As well as use Groupon, livingsocial, and slickdeals. Regardless of the amount of money I make, I'll always be frugal at heart. But I don't see it as a bad thing.

Money is just a tool to make modern living possible. Sure things become easier when you have a lot of it, but I see so many people who lose sleep and literally kill themselves with stress over it. If you let money define who you are, I think it would be prudent that you start doing a little soul searching. In the end, the things that matter the most are: Health, family, friends, happiness. If part of your happiness includes having a lot of money, by all means then try and acquire as much as you can, just don't leave everything else that matters in the dust.

As for me, I know that I make pennies compared to some folks on here, but at the same time I make enough that I don't need to work a "regular" job, I'm stoked I get to chill in front of my computer, relax at home all day, build sites, and take random breaks whenever I feel like going to the beach, going on a hike with my dog, cooking for the family, and having the ultimate luxury of doing things on my own clock. I can even take my business abroad and travel. How fucking cool is that?

I think it's extremely important in life to always stay grounded, and not let money get you carried away. The last thing anyone wants is to wake up when they're 65, and realize they just pissed their entire life away on shit that doesn't matter.

I don't know, live in a poverty stricken country, and volunteer to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity once or twice a week. Seems to do the trick.

we are all peasants compared to Rothchilds, whose net worth is like 100 trillion... Just to put things into perspective.

The Rothschild don't have a $100 trillion LOL. I estimate family owned assets don't exceed $400 billion. That also fluctuates massively due to the ups and downs of global financial markets and real estate markets.

Still waiting for someone to publish an audit of their multi-trillion dollar family assets they own, because there's bullshit all evidence to back it up.

The Rothchilds have power, they don't give a shit about money they just want power. Money is just power at the end or the day, each dollar being access rights to resources.

I bet you spend your time watching illuminati video on youtube right?

bro, do you think if you own a dozen central banks that issue currency your net worth will be 400 billions?
Do you really think that some peasants like Steve Jobs or Bill Gates can have the 1/10th of the wealth of Rothchilds? Get real.

Despite the bad grammar and awful language, I actually agree with this.

She's doing her job. Really wealthy people do tend to carry cash a lot. They also tend to "act" modestly, and not treat workers like crap.

It's wannabees that feel insecure or act badly when their position is questioned.

Also, try having a family. They will suck up your money like a black hole, and you will be back to a more modest lifestyle because you will be much more concerned about the future than buying a bottle at the liquor store.
You're not around REALLY wealthy people then. I've been around centimillionaires and a few billionaires (ergo Palm Beach Country Club) and they're the opposite of modest.

what are you considering rich? I made and lost my first mil at 18, been hustling since.
And now you're a web designer?

Cool story bro. If the Rothschilds were above the monetary system then why the fuck do they waste their life trying to make it? Why is Nat Rothchild wasting his fucking time with low life loser ex-BP CEO Tony Hayward, creating a cash shell so they can go out and buy undervalued natural resource companies?

The Rothschilds still work for their money like the fat ginger kid at McDonalds does too.

Why aren't they part of some monarchy?

To some people, making money is what matters. Value is subjective.

I don't know, live in a poverty stricken country, and volunteer to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity once or twice a week. Seems to do the trick.
Or make enough money to industrialize the entire country and create opportunities for millions of people to build and own their own houses.

I'm a shitty construction worker, but I am a damn fine capitalist. To each his own according to his ability.
