Can anyone direct me to a site where I can download free images for my banner on my web site?

Not many people give away pictures ...

But Flickr has worked great for me ... I find the best pictures on flickr (Taken by photograph enthusiasts and professonals), then I send them a message through Flickr's internal mail asking them if they would give me the permission to use their picture on my web site.

It is not something that is a sure shot and ofcourse requires you to request them for the picture, but I get emails from the photograph owners 9 out of 10 times saying that they dont mind ... I save that email for future and use the picture wherever required.

It is not a bad option, especially when you are unable to find a free copy of the picture on the free picture galleries.
