Who Do You Think is the Smartest WF Member?

Seriously, what prompted the OP to post this question? Does it really matter? Or were you just THAT bored?

There's a ton of smart mutha fuckas on WF, but smarts only gets you so far. It's hard work that'll make you money. I know some guys that wouldn't be called "smart" but are more successful that many of the "smart" people out there. Why? They bust ass, and they play to their strengths.

This is kind of like asking "Who's the prettiest?". That's just dumb, because everyone knows I'm the prettiest. :D

^^^^ Pretty much how I feel. Although people have been pretty spot on, as far as posters I actually pay attention to.

GUERILLA

Nigga knows everything from SEO to science, politics, servers, history, geography, finance. Go ahead, open an IM with him and chat a bit and it shouldn't take but a few minutes until you feel like a retarded high school kid. He knows the kind of weird shit 99% of people don't know, the type of shit you see on Jeopardy or Who wants to be a millionaire.

Agreed 100%

Wickedfire has the smartest group of people I've ever seen. And, yes, I'm sure there are other forums with "smarter" people, IQ wise. (You should see my husband's Actuary forum: freaky geeky) but I doubt many with the all around street smarts/business smarts plus IQ smarts.

And I'm glad to see so many people talking about how dynamic the term "smart" can be. If there's anything I want to get across to my children in their lives it's this: You can be as smart as you want to be. Never, ever tell your self you're too stupid to understand or do something. So what if it takes you longer than the "really smart" guy next to you? If you stick to it, learn it and dominate it, doesn't that make you both smart and fucking amazing?

It makes sense. To be a successful one-man army in this gig, its seriously helps to have at least a fair amount of the following skills:

- Sales / Marketing / Psychology / Influence
- Design
- Coding
- Writing (goes along with #1)
- Analytical skills
- Self Control, Patience, and Resolve
- Risk-Taking Ability
- Adaptability / Constant Learning
- Legal knowhow
- Time management

I'm probably missing a few, but you get the point - it's a diverse skill set. Eventually, you can hopefully outsource the things you don't like.

Some people might not think "Patience" makes you smart, but it's really needed for the SEOs. It hurts to have a potentially high-revenue website shitcanned for a few months, but being patient with my sandboxed sites earlier this year was one of the 'smarter' things I've done.

Now if only I would have played that game 20x or 200x instead of just focusing on 2x sites, I'd be a HELL of a lot smarter.

Damn it. I wanted prettiest.

We could have a full conversation about the different types of intelligence. Some of the most brilliant people I've seen are the ones who know how to socially work a room making everyone feel welcome and warm (a gift few people really have it seems) or how to create something so beautiful it gives you chills. But they might suck at math, science and not know where a comma goes.

At last count you could divide things up into seven types of intelligence and gifts, and there is always someone smarter than you in something, but nobody has the same combination of smarts that you do. The truly wise ones know this and seek out new things to learn and experience in every facet of life - always growing, never getting sucked into stagnancy.

Yes, seriously. Seems like a reasonable question actually, and the number of posters seems to indicate I'm not the only one that 'bored", but perhaps you prefer all the "5th season of a sitcom starts next month ZOMG!" and "who here is circumsized-polls" as being more riveting and worthy of your time.

I don't care if this is handjobfest 2011, this is thread fail for nobody mentioning ayzo.

I don't know if he's "smart" or whatever, but his SEO posts are dead on lately.

Personally, I think he's smarter for focusing on his baller network (whatever/wherever it is) and discussing SEO than arguing economics or whatever. He's someone whose posts should perk your ears up.

I vote Eli, because he's the best bot I ever made.

Wait, but if you're my bot...
