NEW Facebook Ads

Anyone notice conversion rates drop for V-Day (I mean like 10%-15% drops from normal)? CPCs are actually pretty good for me, everything else is shit.

Both.

Which is why I rarely pause my ads, but instead lower the campaign budget. Usually takes me a day or two for my ads to go back to it's former CPC.

Does pausing also cause your ads not to run till the next calendar day Pacific time?

For the past few days some of my campaigns that I'd pause in the morning then unpause in the evening wouldn't start to get impressions till the next day. I thought it was because I was getting close to hitting my daily budget, but then today the same thing happened and I had a good amount of spend left before I hit my daily limit. Either way, I'm going to try this method and see how it works.

so when you day part, do you just lower bid to 0.01?

No, never lower your CPC bid. Fastest way to fuck up your ad. Lower the campaign budget though.

Yes, in some situation, that does happen. Wait till 12 am pacific time for it to be back on track again.

Ya, I've seen that happen for a few days in a row now for multiple campaigns. The problem is that these camps are profitable in the mornings then again in the evening, so I need it to run again at night, would rather not wait until 12:01 am pacific as I'm giving up a few hours of profit. Until today I've just been pausing and unpausing, now I'm trying just lowering the campaigns budget. Would lowering the budget when I want to "pause" then raising it when I want to "unpause" cause me to get impressions again that same night?

You would get impressions the same day 100%.

Damn.. I do that all the time. Why's it not good to do that?

When I mean lowering in that case, I meant like reducing your bid by lets say 80% just as an alternate of pausing. By doing so, you will fuck around with your ad's position, the ending affect being CTR dropping, CPC rising.

Thanks, appreciate that.

Ya, I've definitely screwed up a good number of ads that were performing awesome at first by lowering the bid to like 1 or 2 cents above the low end of the suggested. Lately, I'm hesitant to lower bids at all for fear of screwing them up, the CPC usually goes down on its own. But I've been trying lowering it to say .60 if suggested is in the .20s and my original bid was like a buck and change. Early results are pretty good, who knows though. Anyone fuck up an ad by lowering their bid by this much? Now I guess the question is if I should lower it again after receiving a good number of impressions at that new bid, or I should just stop being greedy and not fuck with a good thing. Always nice to squeeze as much ROI out of an ad as possible though.

has anyone ever gotten this message,

"Sorry, your account has been temporarily disabled as a security precaution. Please contact us so we can help you resolve this issue as quickly as possible",

when they first tried to advertise on fb?

Also, do you know what the reason for this is? I appreciate all the feedback.

only happens on fresh dupe accounts i made where the payment methods were already in use on another account or they could link them together some other way..how old is the actual fb account (not the advertising account)?

mGrunin droppin some valuable knowledge! was wondering why I was having trouble getting impressions after a pause/bid decrease. What I would do before was just start a new ad. Guess I was doing it wrong. Thanks for the tips!
