Would you like this?

I think this is a really awesome technology. The problem would honestly be integrating it all into one system. Updating your car through a sign, integrating your table with your phone. Too many companies with too many agendas. It's hard enough to integrate facebook with your blog without running into a bunch of problems with coding, privacy, etc. I do hope it happens though.

This. The only way this would happen is if one company did it all, and we ALL bought it. Even if I owned a apple tv, phone, table, e-reader, car, etc if I went over by buddies place and all his shit was Microsoft we would be screwed.

There are way to many separate interests for a utopian future like that.

Have a set standard and require all companies to use it for a generic API that would allow all products to share information - similar to bluetooth devices.

The tech is good but I'd be the last customer wanting it. It's just distractionware taken to a new and quite horrible dystopian level in my opinion.

If the future was to be like this, which I very much doubt, can you imagine Google controlling all that glass?! (Scary) Or Microsoft? (Beta testing crashtastic nightmare.)

The whole idea of everything being integrated is certainly the way it's going, what with singularitarianism and what not, but to me it'd be an absolute nightmare. I hate it.

If people want everything to be integrated badly enough there will be an operating system or API to do it. I mean right now PC's and Mac's can (for the most part) transfer information between each other even though they are completely different operating systems. That'll eventually happen for everything else as well.

There might be only one file type (a .glass file or something like that), or an easy way for you to transfer one filetype to another filetype (much like how Word can read Open Office files). You'll download the file from the cloud, change it to whatever filetype your device supports, and your good.

I don't know if it will be ever quite that as perfect as the video, but I think it could get pretty close... and the technology is only a decade or two away.

I'm still waiting for my VR helmet to come in the post.

Cool tech but we'll only end up using bits and bobs, learning to use stuff is a pain in the ass.
