Plentyoffish Hacked. « Plenty of fish blog
Markus said:
This was an incredibly well planned and sophisticated attack. Chris Russo a hacker from Argentina who hacked Piratebay and signed up to plentyoffish several days before I had to go to a conference. The attacks started as I was on an airplane to attend the internet dating conference in Miami. It took Chris Russo 2 days to break in; he didn’t even try to hide behind a proxy, signed up under his real name and executed the attacks while logged in as himself...

was it just pof or could out advertising accounts been comprised as well since they store our cc info?

This shit is hillarious. And I am sure it's far from over. Reminds me of the post Shawn H. a guy that runs a pretty popular forum online (hint it has a green background) made about A very popular auction site, $1mil earnings, strippers and a whole bunch of other stuff.. All while he's being sued for unspecifed damages by that same company for 3yrs. Has pending fed charges, ect.

marcus' story doesn't even make sense.
not that I trust an argentinean.

maybe pof will get some security done on the site. not upgrading usability is one thing, but security... I think you have enough money to increase it.

POF was a mashed together horrible website. I'm surprise it took this long to be get hacked.

Either way, if you had any type of POF account I'd delete it...There are probably way more security vulnerabilities. At the very least, change from the password you used.

Sounds like some expert advice! Oh wait, the site in your sig doesn't even come up. In other words, fuck off.

Best of luck to the POF guys. If you need a security firm let me know I have solid recommendations.
