You couldn't keep a secret like that forever (I saved my dog while watching a kid drown)...I'd eventually find out.

And, just because you are right there doing the swimming, that doesn't mean witnesses aren't around.
Maybe witnesses that for whatever reason (handicapped, elderly, etc...) can't swim well enough to help.

"Yes, we saw what happened. This guy jumped in the lake, we thought he was going to save the kid, but he went after
a dog instead".

I'd rather he saved the dog out of love, than save your kid out of fear.

My rottweiler usually sleeps in the garage so I let him in there a few minutes ago forgetting that I had placed a few mouse traps. The dog is still relatively young and has testicles the size of tennis balls.
Apparently he was dragging those monsters too close to a trap and it snapped right on his nuts.

He's really angry right now won't let me get close enough to help. he already bit me really hard and I'm bleeding pretty bad. I tried shooting him with a horse tranquilizer dart but I missed and it blew out one of the tires on my car so I can't drive to the vet or anything.
My plan right now is to have my 4 year old approach him from the front to distract the dog while I sneak up behind him and club him with a tire iron.

The stranger would save the creature which belongs to him..if both doesn't belong to him he would save the young child as he is a human..

I agree with that. I would save the baby too, but i would miss my dog an awful lot and it would feel really bad just to let him die like that.

If it were me, i would save the child. I think a human life holds more value than that of a dog. Unless it was Lassie.
