I welcome this feature. Sorry for all the dishonest people out there, but the more the ad networks crack down on all the sites out there that deceive visitors, the more the advertisers will see a return on their investment, and the more they will be willing to spend, thus helping out those of us that decide to play by the rules.

I don't think anyone should cheat, I just find it hilarious that people have the time to go around making sure other publishers are following rules.

I agree, I welcome it. The better the return, the more money they will spend and the more companies that will get into internet advertising.

YPN should be more concered about fixing thier contextual engine and adding geo targeting rather than bitch and moan about people trying to cheat

Today, we’re pleased to announce that the blog will now feature a permanent link to our feedback email box that anyone can use, located under “Network Feedback” in the right-hand column. If you, our network’s volunteer hall monitors, catch someone placing images next to ads, splattering ads willy-nilly all over their pages, nicking other sites’ content, or running with scissors, let us know and they’ll be sent to the Virtual Principal’s Office.

We won’t be able to respond to all feedback that we receive but, rest assured, we will be monitoring all submissions and, perhaps, doing show and tell later on.

Why do they talk to their publishers like they are 8th graders. Its fucking annoying. Im this business to make money, and I expect professionalism. Yahoo is a joke.

But as some of you have pointed out, a few, very “naughty little publishers” continue to ignore the rules and go right on abusing their privileges. Until now, many of you conscientious teacher’s pets, who might have wanted to report abuse, have not been able to for lack of an appropriate channel.

If you, our network’s volunteer hall monitors, catch someone placing images next to ads, splattering ads willy-nilly all over their pages, nicking other sites’ content, or running with scissors, let us know and they’ll be sent to the Virtual Principal’s Office.

Can you tell Michael Mattis to stop writing in this manner. It is very unprofessional. I am a Yahoo shareholder and don't appreciate the way in which he is representing the company and their YPN products; in an unprofessional manner. State what your intention is, and state it clearly please. Thanks.

Just sent this to YPN, will post what they write back shortly.

The cheating evens out all the unfair banning they do...

LOL @ them trying to get people to snitch on eachother, fukk that

Stop Snitchin!

They should spend $$$ and hire drones to combat cheating, fuck trying to get publishers to snitch on each other to make it less work for them...

:2gunsfiring_v1: I actually got suspened in junior high for locking a hall monitor in the janitors supplies closet

Snitches lay in ditches:boid:

"splattering ads willy-nilly all over their pages"

I understand some of their rules, but seriously what. the. fuck. does. this. mean? Google lays out their rules relatively clearly. You can only have X of ad units, you can't put a big sign above the ad saying click here, etc.

I wish I had some contacts within Yahoo, because their YPN team needs a very serious shakeup before leaving beta.

I do not expect Yahoo's ad targetting to come close to Google's. They need to continue to pay more per click and be at Google's level, or better, on the remaining fronts. Issuing vague statements and pretending this is some silly role playing game does not follow my definition of better.

That may be one of the saddest sites I've ever come across. And I don't understand how anyone can complain about targeting. Only YPN knows what categories a person has targeted to their sites, but lets say the person has a real estate site.. Visitors will literally see anything from realty related ads to viagra advertisements.

Those sites are using content targeted advertising. They are not doing relevant contextual advertising. This is an option on your YPN account. Higher payours I suppose, but lower CTR for his site. A good move because the ads that appear for his content blow.
