Youtube Links: Landing Page or Direct Affiliate?

I made a youtube for an affiliate product that is selling fairly well on my web site. I embedded the video on my page, and provided a link back to the page in the youtube video.

I did this to boost the SEO for my page. But I was thinking - should I link straight to the affiliate? I'm wondering if I'm putting too many clicks between the user and the product.

Well, I think you are on the right track. I rarely promote and share direct links to product owners' websites. I would usually direct my visitors to my main website.
