As we can see in these two FTC complaints a Brian Buckley and Wise Media is being charged with SMS spamming. They have also placed a Temporary Restraining Order on all his assets (froze his money.)

So it turns out that Brian Buckley owns all of/a part of xrev media and his current FTC case has brought the company into the shitstorm. As such, the company is under investigation + assets frozen.
