I am running xampp on Vista. I DL'ed InstantRails, which obv would need to be configured with the existing Apache server and MySQL. First, you have to shut off the xampp Apache.
For some reason, I can't shut off Apache, it is giving an "ERROR: -1, BUSY". Apache and MySQL are running as a service. The xampp_stop app gives "APache killed, no matching processes found, cannot delete httpd.pid, etc..." and doesn't shut down apache.
I tried using "apache -k shutdown" but that only works for Apache 1.x. I have read all of the documentation at the Apache Friends site on xampp and I can't seem to find the answer via Google search. Searching through the apache friends forum and using goog translator is painstaking and I can't find this "problem" addressed anywhere.
Any help would be appreciated. This seems like a really dumb question.
