We should definitely do something about writers that don't meet deadlines. It's really wrong for many of the writers to take 100% payment upfront and then not meet the due dates. At that point, there's nothing we can do but to keep asking: "are the article done?", or "what's the status of the articles?". We are at the mercy of these writers, and if we have clients waiting for articles. It causes many problems.

We need a way to ensure our writers posting on the forum will meet deadlines.

You should never just use 1 writer -- especially if your using that writer for your own clients. Think about it, what happens if your only writer gets sick/hospitalized/shot/doesn't feel like writing anymore...? Think outside the box and find a writer on eLance, oDesk, etc... There are tons of people out there that will write for you and take your payment after.

I have 5 writers on retainer that I have found that speak incredibly good English... Just open your eyes and search... It may take a little bit, but definitely worth it in the long run.

With most writers/writing jobs, it's the other way around. They're not supposed to get paid until they complete the work (unless they have a contract or something). What is preventing you from operating like this?

I think it is more important that the writers should pass a grammar/vocabulary check before posting a thread, I am sick of people who write poor quality articles :/
