Hey,

My friend has some old Blogspot sites with PR2+. He was wondering whether or not it was possible to sell links or if they wouldn't be of any SEO value because they come from a free domain. Also, I don't know the legalities to this, because according to the terms of service Google owns the site not him. Any suggestions I can give him on whether or not he can sell them?

Any ideas on this?

I think he cannot sell it through link brokers, as he doesn't use his own domain for the blog. Though, he can sell it directly to interested web owners. Anyway, I don't think selling links is illegal as far as Google is concerned.

I don't think there's anyone who would buy from blogspot links. Firstly, no matter how many links you post they would only count as one [since they all come from .blogspot.com]. Unless he has his own domain. Then, he can sell links.

You can sell those links services, but be aware there a tons of services like that and better, so you need to offer something special to attract buyers.
