Getting excited about a list app is probably uber-gay but so what. Just read about workflowy on techcrunch.

Turn Your Entire Life Into A List With Workflowy

I'm giving it a whirl to see if it will be useful enough to keep me using it. I tried to use Remember the Milk but I didn't like the inability to make sub lists for managing my programming projects which is the main thing I want a good list manager for. Evernote is good for a lot of things but I don't like it for managing projects due to the unstructuredness of it. Hopefully this will hit the sweet spot.

If anyone is on an android phone, try 'ColorNote'.(free)

Best list management I found. The only thing wrong with it is that it doesn't have the ability to create sublists like workflowy seems to do no problem.

To make up for it it does have,

Reminders - outlook style (in 15, 30 mins) or specific date.
Checklists OR task lists
Color coded lists
Widget sticky notes
Encryption/backup feature

The combination of the ColorNote features + Workflowy style would make a killer combo if there's any android dev's out there listening.

Who needs this? I just wake up, make some coffee, then try really hard to remember what I told myself I would work on before I went to bed.

Been using this the last few days and it's really great.

Beats doit.im and RTM.

Just one huge list, but it's extremely easy to manage.

This looks great thanks.

I got a white board that is just a mess and gets outdated and i got a big pad on my desk that i write stuff on that is much the same.

Going to try this

Anything like this not hosted on someone else website? I want an offline version.

Just login and save the webpage plus all the .js files to your hardrive

Then you can open up the .html file on your pc and resave over it after making changes.

I also found this app for OS X that is similiar to workflowy in that it has hierarchical lists and supports "zooming in" on specific lists

TaskPaper

You can download free serials for it here (use littlesnitch to block it)

Code:

lol, just goes to show you how low the bar is for an "app" to covered by techcrunch.

Kinda makes me want to grab it and fill in the gaps of what I think is missing with it.
