Wordpress Themes/Plugins?

So I've looked around the forums and seen things for Optimize Press, Profit's Theme, PT Instant, etc. but I can't find much information on them being updated and current, I'd assume they are still relevant but a lot of the posts I come across are 1+ Years old.

Anyway, I'd like to get some more current input on a good starting theme and or plugin a newbie should get used to, I can do some of my own work but it's sloppy and lots of copy pasting.

I'm just looking to get used to the building blogs, squeeze pages, landing pages, etc on an offline server and then move forward launching and working towards monetizing a site. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

I would recommend you to Google Search for profitable wordpress themes and plugins.... Wish this might help you...!

Googling just returns the same themes already mentioned above. What does everyone here recommend for a good theme that is optimized for google ads & newsletter subscribers?
