I'm looking for someone to help me design a Wordpress theme for a blog I will be making soon for a cross country roadtrip.
The goal of my blog is to document my 1-2 week long journey from the beaches of VA to the SF Bay Area.
I'd like this design to include some vector work. Somewhere in the design, I'd like to see:
-a caricature of me hanging out of the car I will be driving
-a map with a dotted line from VA to the place/city I'll be landing in
(cheesy, I know)
Additionally, I'd like someone who's versed in location-based web services. You must at least be familiar with Google Latitude. Bonus points if you've used it. Even more bonus points if you can think of some awesome location based web services I can update from my iPhone to my blog so that my family and adoring fans can follow me as I move about the country.
Also, to that end, I'd like someone who might be able to offer few suggestions on cool functionality for this site. Cool ideas would net you some kind of a bonus (be it a recommendation of any length for your portfolio or a cash bonus). Twitter and Latitude are the most obvious, but any more innovative ideas would be welcomed and appreciated.
This needs to be done on short order. I leave June 7th.
Please be in touch with your portfolio, similar work, very high level description of any ideas you have for the project, and a ballpark of cost. Oh, and a little about yourself. I like working with fun people.
