If someone can help me out I'm looking to alter a few different WordPress Themes and wondering what is the best way to go about it. These is my first go at working with WordPress. I'd also like to get all the add Google/add yahoo/add Blogger/ readers by Feedburner icons on my site but I'm really not sure how I go about editing that. Thanks in advance.

Ok I will reply to my own question with some part. I have found a way to put the "chicklets'' as they call it for Feeders. I have the html for it I just have no idea where to insert it when editing the WordPress theme editor. Any assistance would be great. Thanks. Holla

Every theme is different, but you probably want to put the chicklet HTML in the sidebar portion of the theme editor.

One of the good things about Wordpress is that there's a huge community behind it, so there's lots of info out there. This is a great place to start:

And the documentation for Wordpress is really solid too:

Feel free to IM me with any questions, I'll do my best to help (but if it's beyond simple stuff I probably can't help you, I usually pay to have themes developed, or just use free themes that already do what I need).

JDA,

Thanks for the reply. I got the chicklets to work now. I actually checked out those sites last night but they are very useful. You ever get to the point when you are trying so hard for something to work that you lose site of what you are doing? I think I was just so mad at being mad at being not able to get what I wanted right that I couldn't think properly. This morning I went into the code, the sidebar, and boom I understood where I had to put links. Hahhahah. Thanks again for the info and well below is my personal site. I'm working on things and don't particularly care for the theme right now but let me know what you think.

Curious... What are the chicklets? I've been trying to edit the default theme to wordpress and had some problems with it. Couldn't figure out why some of the images were still showing up even when I deleted the CSS codes for them.

Have you guys checked out the Dreamweaver extension for wordpress? I thought it would make it easier to make my own but after starting - I think I got more confused.
