I figured that it would be better to keep up with things that I've done for this project here where it might pick up some advice here and there. I've got a little spare time to work on a side project so I've decided to do a WordPress blog/site on fitness and health and crap like that. Also, pardon my seemingly sporadic notes on what I've done so far and plan to do, I'm writing this while doing like 20 other things at the same time. :)

I have a minimal amount of experience, and have made some money with a different niche site, but I abandoned it a while back to pursue other opportunities.

I've got WordPress up with the AutoMeta, FireStats, Google Sitemaps, Optimal Title, Related Posts, and Sociable plug-ins. I'm going to do my own content with a few posts/articles/whatever you want to call them a day, and plan on only organic traffic for the time being.

There's a bunch of ways to monetize but I'm worried more about getting some traffic going and content up first. I've signed up for a few affiliate programs I'm going to try out but it takes a little while to get the accounts set up and whatnot.

The plan is to make a post or two each day, then one day a week spend most of the day working on it. Today's that day of the week. :)

Any suggestions on other WordPress plug-ins I should have a look at? I pulled most of what I could find from the posts here and in the other parts of WF.

As for getting a little bit of traffic started, I'm in the middle of getting involved on a few message boards, and I've got a giant list of spots to ping in WordPress. I'm also going to be posting to various article directories.

I'm pretty new to this getting organic traffic thing but I read a bit and experiment a lot, so I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later. :)

this page needs a spellcheck. hxxp://www.innexhostfree.com/

Would also recommend a change to your base font to a sans serif and drop the center justification.

Well... Argh01 is right. It does need a spellcheck and non-centered, sans-serif, font. But I don't know why he posted it here.

Okay, glad I wasn't missing something.

I replaced the WordPress search bar with Google AdSense's.

The current layout I have has two sidebars on the right-hand side. I'm trying to decide if I should put AdSense in the left-hand column or the right-hand column. On the left it seems like it would draw more attention as the readers generally will inspect things from left to right, and on the right it seems like it's detached and doesn't really flow with the content, for now I'll go with the left.
