Here is a nice article on setting up wordpress as a CMS. I'm using it myself for a couple small content sites and this article gave me some new ideas to make it work even better.

Wordpress As CMS: Pages, Nav, Crumbs, And Plugins

Note: I'm not affiliated with the site, I just found some good tips in the article. I was really debating using one WP install for the content and blog, but the article persuaded me otherwise.

Wordpress is a very powerful tool, the article above is a little generic and vague but hey what can I say..... If you are looking to build a big site try MU, if you like and are use to customizing WP, though you are looking for a little more and have an imagination try Mu!

That's pretty sweet. All my sites are using the same DB server anyways, so I'm thinking this could make management a little easier.

Wordpress is really a very nice software. Not only is it easy for the users to use but the admin side and site maintenance is also very easy.It was the first CMS on which I worked on and till now it is on my top favourite list.
