I'm very lacking in the server/hosting department. I hear that windows servers can have a virtual desktop environment. If this is correct, would i be able to run my fbadmanager on a windows vps or two? The fbadmanager is plugin based and only withs with firefox. If there is another way to do this besides having multiple computers, please share.

+rep involved,
thanks

A Windows Server can be logged into via Remote Desktop (not called 'virtual desktop'), and you can run your usual desktop applications via that. However it may be slow to navigate just to warn you. Also you'll want to take some extra measures to secure it. Typically you can get a Windows 2003 VPS or Dedicated server reasonably priced (compared to say 2008).

the sole purpose will be for uploading ads via browser. Im not sure how slow you are talking, but i shouldnt be using very much resources or bandwidth. A VPS might not even be needed. Any specific guides/articles of using and setting one of these up? also i will accept hosting recommendations/referrals due to your help if applicable.

Well I meant between you and the server a times. Once you got the program running on the server itself, it runs pretty much the same as it would your usual desktop.

Also not sure why you need a separate VPS/Dedi to run such a plugin, unless you're trying to do it from different IP addresses. Also far as I'm aware you can't do a remote desktop into a shared windows server (doubt they even make that now days), its VPS or higher.
