On my sites, IE6 currently takes up 0.6% of US traffic, and IE7 takes up 8.3%. I don't really see much of a conversion rate difference between 7, 8 and 9.

Still, not a bad marketing ploy, and reasonably justified.

IE6 is totally abandoned by me, boy do my sites look shitty. PNGFIX? Fuck you, enjoy greyed out images. I'm glad to see many others following the same path. I serve a tiny prompt at the top of the page that says something along the lines of "Dear Internet Explorer 6.0 user, this site looks horrible in your browser. We dropped support for IE6, sorry." Removing all the IE6 hacks, the separate IE6 files, it felt GLORIOUS.

I use FF most of the times but IE9 is surprisingly fast.
